Quite to the contrary, I lead a very laid back lifestyle. :)

I don't have any outstanding debt, haven't had a cold or the flu in over 10 years, sleep well and set my own schedule. ;)

About 2 weeks ago i pulled the trigger and flashed my device with latest ICS. (4.0.3)

Now i feel my phone is smoother and the browser (Chrome Beta) rules!
I decided to flash my device because i know my carrier will never release ICS. (Carriers here are kind of set and forget, they never update their firmwares like in other countries, SUCKS.)

I'm totally in love with this phone... I switched from an iPhone 3GS and I'm so glad I did.

I hadn't specified in my previous post but this is the phone I got as well. There isn't any other you could get me to trade it for. Until the next model comes out anyway. :D

  10. No idea what OS, it's a $15 model with no "smart" features whatsoever. I don't really like smart phones.

Rocking the BBOS, maybe we need a Wilders BBM group :p I don't use BBM maybe that would give me a reason.

I think BBM can be installed on certain non BB phones, just get your family and friends to try and install it and then you can use BBM all day everyday :D!

Nope BBM is BlackBerry devices only. Only WhatsApp and Kik I have really seen can be used on other oses. Since I have got unlimited text no reason to use my 75MB data on something I can do unlimited :p

75MB Data? That's almost nothing man!
Even i have 1GB Data with 3G speeds and i feel it's not enough. I may upgrade to HSDPA+ or as they call it here "4G" and 2 GB Data.

Personally i prefer either WhatsApp or ChatOn, preferably ChatOn because it's way more interactive :p
Those are the 2 only IM's i use.

It was 10 bucks for 75MB or 30 bucks for 2 Gigs. Since my parents pay for my phone (and I don't have a job yet) the 10 bucks was a better value. Thanks to RIMS data compression tech its pretty amazing what you can do with 75MB Most I ever hit is I think 50MB in a month and that was because I went a little overboard with the FourSqaure :p

Wow that's quite expensive compared to what's offered here and that's taking into account this is not an advanced country in telecommunications or in fact it's not advanced in anything regarding technology.

I get 1 GB Unlimited (Throttled after 1GB) data for $9.95 (In US dollars) and i can bump it to 2GB for $14.95 and it goes on.
I average speeds of around 2-3mbps down but im not sure about upload speeds (Havent tested).

I can get 5mbps download speeds but it's a bit more expensive and coverage is not that great. (They call it 4G here but it's HDSPA+)

Other = none. My phone doesn't even have a camera. It's as simple as they come, a Samsung a107. I tell people it has 2 apps: it sends, and receives calls. No GPS and other fancy stuff to dime me out and give my location away.

Also use prepaid minutes, so no info. about myself given away. Also dirt cheap, as I only use it like twice a week. Usually on Sat. when I'm fishing or whatnot. I have a $2/days I use it (no) plan. So I spend about $16 a month.

The only other thing I like to have with me when I'm out is music, and I can accomplish that via my Zune. Again, no bill this way.

Everything I need, dirt cheap, and no lost privacy in the process.

I used to own a Nokia 1200 (Even more basic than yours).
Used it for around 2 years (2009-2010) and it was my first phone, i was not really going to get a smartphone anytime soon but i got this SGS II for a low price, i just had to take the chance. :D

It has Samsung's proprietary OS :) Wouldn't do much without one.

At least the A107 has a web browser and instant messaging. My Samsung E1170 and my old Nokia 2600 (which I've had for over 6 years) are extremely basic! Which is all I need.

Yeh that seems rather steep. We must be lucky here in australia, i pay $9.90 a month which gives me $100 of credit for calls and texts, 500mb of data and $1000 credit for calls and texts to phones on the same network as me.

    Need to change my vote.
Had a WP7, a Lumia 710 for approx one month and liking it.
Would of got another Android phone but was not happy with a new phone that would not get ICS or newer within my budget.

Android on Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro. I bought the phone back then coz I loved how small it is and the keyboard lets me type faster than any other phones i've tried. Not to mention, i've been a die-hard sony fan (esp. Walkman series before I got this) when it comes to phones.

Running it with default firmware...haven't flashed it with any custom rom despite having rooted it months ago.

Thinking of getting a new phone with a larger screen though. I'm still undecided between getting the newer Xperia models or SGS3 / SGS2 (price-wise, I can get better deals with SGS2).

Although Samsung high end phones are usually not made with fancy materials but IMO they are the best smartphones, simply because they get the most support from the dev community and they are all unlocked! :D :D
So at least in the next few years, if i ever change my phone it will be a Samsung again. :D
