I am having the same problem as well. I have followed Dark Star's advice and reverted to version 11.2.202.235 for now.

    Re: Adobe Flash Player 11.3.3000.257

To get Flash to update I had to go in and temporarily set outbound connections to 'Allow (default)' to get flash to update, then I switched it back to block.

I looked through program files and couldn't find Adobe Flash in there, anyone know where Adobe Flash resides?

If I can't create a rule for it it won't autoupdate so I'll have to use sumo or check online frequently to make sure I have the latest version, not at all convenient....

    I've been checking here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html

Looks like the sandbox should help even the playing field between Chrome/IE/FF and should help secure FF tremendously.

And of course this new update does nothing to fix use with Software Restriction Policy as listed here.

Hmmm ... & people wonder why I don't use any sandboxing software. Simple doesn't necessarily translate as unsafe.

And it will continue to be broken. Fixing that isn't probably high on their list, whether the issue was bought to their attention or not, so you will continue having this issue unless someone finds a workaround.

For those having issues with the new Flash build, or even Flash while using Sandboxie...I found these two sources of information. It may help troubleshoot the problem.

    From the Sandboxie forum:
Topic: SB 3.70 x64 conflict with the new Flash Player 11.3.300.257
    http://www.sandboxie.com/phpbb/view...be flash&sid=fdcdc83e8ed6b244b4041f4725435987

    From Adobe forum:
Topic: How do I disable Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1018071?tstart=0

Although probably not advisable by some, I went ahead and disabled the Flash Player protected mode and it seems to have fixed the problem for the time being (I'll re-enable it when the new sandbox has had a few more releases). In my opinion, I don't think this new version is 100% yet.

Thanks Radeon, will try to to disable protected mode and see if it works. I just got running out of memory error firefox/sandboxie crashed:mad:

Edit: I added ProtectedMode = 0 perfectly fine to the mms.cfg file in the System32 folder, but for the SysWOW64/Macromed/Flash/mms.cfg, I can't add that line in there. I get an Acces Denied error.

What environment are you running in? 32-Bit or 64-Bit.

    Re: Adobe Flash Player 11.3.3000.257

64 bit Windows 7. I created the mms.cfg for the System32, but it looks like since Flash is now 64 bit, it created it's own mms.cfg file in Syswow64. I didn't even know till now.

I can't edit the mms.cfg. I get Access is denied when trying to save.

    Re: Adobe Flash Player 11.3.3000.257

Nevermind, I got it, just had to move mms.cfg to the desktop and then it let me save, and then I just moved it back to the flash folder.

Now I need to copy and paste all my settings from the 32bit mms.cfg to the 64 bit mms.cfg. I had no idea there was a 64 bit one and thought the 32 bit mms.cfg was working. Thanks for the help.

    @ wutsup

I just successfully changed the .cfg extension to .txt & edited it, & then after changing the original .cfg to something slightly different for safety in case it was required later, i renamed the new .txt back to .cfg & :thumb:

But i see you found a work around :)

Well my tip might be useful to others, yours too ;)

Yep, no more problems with flash anymore. Works flawlessly now. Back to having only firefox in the internet and start/run access restrictions list again.:thumb:

New version seems to be working fine here, even Youtube vids in 1080p, though I'm wondering why it needs 6 instances of the same process, there is only one using CPU anyway.

So far so good. Kinda bloated though. 9.36mb and 8.39mb. Hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

    Re: Adobe Flash Player 11.3.3000.257

I dd not have this product installed (W7Pro/32) It is new to me. I guess Silverlight 4.1 has been taking up the task to date.
I installed Flash Player from the Adobe website today. I chose 'install the latest version of Flash Player'. It installed the plugin and all seems to be working just fine.
I opened Flash Player in the Control Panel and I selected 'inform me if any site makes changes to my computer' This is not the default but it seemed appropriate. Am I setting myself up for tons of popups?
Also I noticed that it indicates that I have the 11.3 plugin installed but ACTIVE-X is not installed. I did not see it there for selection on the web page. Am I supposed to install it too? Also, why does it say Flash Player in some instances and Plash Player Shockwave in other instances ... is it the same program?

    yes, with HTML 5.

although there is a lot of stuff that will not play unless you have the Flash Player installed.
lots of copyrighted material require Flash.

Well, I got frustrated enough that I uninstalled 11.3 and reinstalled the previous stable 11.2.

    Re: Adobe Flash Player 11.3.3000.257

Hi emmjay, for the Active X, you need to do a separate installation of Flash. If you use Flash when using Internet Explorer, you can get the Active X from here. On my case, I only use Flash with Firefox so I don't have the Active X installed. In other words, if you don't have to have it, don't install it.

Use this link to check if you have Shockwave player installed. It is a separate program from Flash. Myself, I haven't had Shockwave for about 5 years. No need for it, if you don't need it, don't install it.

    Hi,

    About the file mms.cfg :
In the past I pointed to that file several times.
In case you would like to learn more about it, go here:
