    Shadow,
When a new member asks a question, rather than search through posts to refer people to a particular piece of text or information it is often easier to just re-convey the piece of information at the time. I would say to anybody who is tiring of the thread, just don't read it...it's as simple as that...questions and answers will naturally be repeated as new members come to it.
What I find slightly annoying is the interrogative and accusative tone in some of the posts and insistance that the new site is legitimate without even one scrap of evidence to back it up and then thinly veiled threats about people being sued if they dare to criticize the shortcomings of the new site.
These sorts of threads have peaks and troughs of interest on forums and usually will die a natural death without intervention.

Yes, but we both know that Tony released more than one version of build 325, therefore there's more than one checksum for that build. That's certainly confusing for anyone, but those are the facts and it has been discussed a few times in this thread.

Patrick, I share your feelings about this issue, but until something really new and tangible is learned about this matter, rehashing the same thing (over and over) isn't accomplishing anything but consuming space.

Maybe not a big thing to worry about :) ...people ask a question, I'll answer it. I've already explained my reasons for doing it this way.
The main reason I've had to repeat myself is some people weren't content with my first answer and would like to rewrite history to serve their own agenda or are new to the thread or forum and aren't aware of what has transpired previously.
Anyway it's no big deal to me other than incorrect inferences and slights against my character.

May I humbly suggest (since you are both obviously good guys interested in promoting and actively assisting the welfare of your fellow Wilders brethren) that we drop what is needlessly appearing to be a rift when you both so obviously share common ground?

As a moderator on a few other (non computer related) sites, imho the idea of a permanent "sticky" for reference is a good idea. That said, from experience of over a dozen years helping to moderate sites with many thousands of members, it is inevitable that the same questions will be raised over and over again (sometimes ad nauseum). It's just the nature of the beast. Thankfully there are folks willing to take on the task.

Please let's not let the great info and good will here devolve unnecessarily.

Okay...my one and only kumbaya moment. (Hey, don't expect a lot of 'em from a retired federal agent. :p )

Thanks. One of my old groups (squads) was on the show. Fortunately for me I wasn't a participant. ;)

I'm certainly not for any argument or bad feeling but it seems at times that I can't make even the simplest of posts without an undermining comment or criticism. I'll continue to post (as I have always done) when I feel it is appropriate and hopefully this nit picking and bickering will stop.

I was Googleing open SD threads elsewhere on the Internet and came across with one of those threads open at SSJ100 forums.

I did not know you [sdmod] were an administrator/moderator at those forums, until today.

Of course questions are going to be repeated again and again, this will happen regardless if there's a stickie with all the info or not. A stickie would just make things much easier in the sense that we can redirect users there with a simple link, rather than having to transcribe the whole thing over and over again. Less repetition is a good thing.

Folks need your insight but I may not have enough info. Longtime and thrilled Shadow Defender user. But, thinking about getting a Samsung notebook that has a hard drive and also an 8 BG flash memory on the motherboard I think that is used for what they call ExpressCaache, somehow interacts with most used programs to make them load faster, not sure what happens but maybe some here are.

What I am wondering is, how will Shadow Defender be affected under this type of situation? Usually I just put system drive in shadow mode and no worries but with theis Express Cache not sure. Thanks for any help.

Gary, I don't see how or why the cache will affect SD operation. I believe it will be transparent to SD.

It's also partly a problem with megathreads. Nobody is going to start reading at the first post and continue to read posts that run into 800+. So, I agree, sometimes it's easier to repeat than to expect someone to read the thread. Also, frankly, some people don't know the right search terms to use to find the exact information they're looking for.

That, right there ^^^^^^, is the kind of thing that ruins good discussion. If we don't take people at their word in a community like this - what else do we have?

    Hi LockBox
    o_O o_O

    But FYI. :)

The reason I used both Nicknames is out of respect, because he himself has used both in this tread.

I posted some help treads over on the old SD Forums, where Tony was MOD.

    Hi sdmod
That I was in no way being bad about you, from the way LockBox wrote his quote of me using your nicks in my reply post to you.

    With regards

Sorry, quest, I guess I missed something, too. I thought you were insinuating that 'sdmod' was actually the "real Tony."

Yes, that is what I thought was happening at first....just a misunderstanding because of the different languages maybe.
I think that TheQuest may have been a help file translator. Some Shadow Defender forum members offered to translate the Shadow Defender help file into their own language. Anyway, "no offence meant, no offence taken" :)
