I don't think you need it. You look pretty secure from where I sit.

I prefer setup 2...Also in terms of style you have both your main security applications in a yellowish color :D

Sandboxie and NVT fit really good together in the system tray :p

just add EMET as it's a good freebie that doesn't slow you down at all. I still use version 2.1:thumb:

The reason why I say that is, because I paid for a license and enjoy the results from using it in a 32-bit environment.

    Hmmmm, never really considered EMET.

Isn't it some type of data execution monitor of some sorts?

    So, one for #2

I am loving all the feedback so far, you guys are all helping me make a decision.

I just don't want to add too much useless stuff.

I am basically looking for light as a feather, but secure enough.

Paying for a licence doesn't mean you need it. But if you enjoy it, ok have fun.

It's not a monitor in that it doesn't "watch" for things. EMET just forces programs to use modern security mitigation techniques.

It should be a part of every Windows security setup.

Ok, well noted...Thanks for the information.

Will most likely add EMET soon.

Radeon, in the end it really depends what you need protection from...for me outbound firewall protection is very important (as well as anti-loggers).

On my wife's setup I can go very light as she has no sensitive data and performs no financial transactions on her machine. I can get away with just Sandboxie and PrivateFirewall there. (Though I tend to add Shadow Defender as a "just in case" due to my own personal preferences.)

ByteHero is pretty cool, it has anti-execution and heuristic analysis. It has somewhat ok detection of malware for a program that doesn't use signatures :thumb:

    Kelvin,
Which bytehero are you using, the system defense or heuristics detection engine?

How much is it? Just curious. I was on their website and it didn't really have a lot of information.

    @kjdemuth

I noticed that setup #3 on my list is pretty darn close to what you're running. How does it perform for you?

Nice and smooth. No issues. Running it on win 7 premium 32bit. It's pretty secure for an AV free setup.

Thanks! I'll have to try it. I never heard of it before.
