Wow, didn't expect a new major version so soon already from Eset. Hopefully they improved cloud and HIPS.

I found a thread at a German forum and a post by an afaik official ESET person "ESET Deutschland"

And this is a translation of the message.....
It looks like the BETA will go Live today at 15:00 :D
So I guess it's OK to post this now since this info comes from an official ESET person? If not then I am very sorry.

    YES!

"A beta version of ESET Smart Security 6.0 has been released and is available to download.

    New features:
    Anti-Theft
Continuous archive scanning during the download (supported partially now)
    Idle scan
    Update rollback

For more information and to download the installers, visit http://www.eset.com/beta/v6.

Although installation over older product versions is supported, we strongly recommend performing a clean installation.
Please share your feedback which is valuable for us for further improvement of the product by filling in the beta form besides reporting your experience in the ESET beta products thread at Wilders'."

I installed ESS in a virtual machine. On the surface it is not terribly different than version 5. Haven't really spent a lot of time with it yet.

I installed beta 6 , activated using my commercial used ID and PW -

but the product is still marked as "not activated" , even though I got a message about successful activation upon entering my user and password.

Please tell me how to completely disable the Anti-Theft.
Installed anti-virus, is much faster versions of the past, it pleases. I tried to feature Anti-Theft, about which very little information, then untied the device from the personal account, but now the antivirus warns me that the Anti-Theft is not set. I would like to remove this notification as well as learn more about the technology - how it works, how often data is sent (screenshots, pictures web cams, etc.)

For those stating activation issues. I had that at first, but a reboot seemed to fix it for me.

    YMMV.

    1. Please, add filtering to the “Quarantine” window and ability to restore two or more quarantined files to a specified location.
    2. “Rescan quarantined files after every update”. Why is this option visible? What is the point of configuring this item?
    3. When will we see the “Apply” button in advanced setup?

agreed what about those who dont want the anti theft can we disable the message??

web browsing seems a LOT slower for me on firefox for some reason. fresh win7 x64 install with NO ADD on's in firefox pages load a lot slower than before. scan is on the other hand a LOT faster for me. i kept getting activation failed but it finally seemed to activate as a beta.
