Virtual Box Win 8 black screen

    I wish I had known about the black screen issue in Windows 8 after installing the guest additions for 4.1.10.

    Everything was working fine with the previous version :'(

    Looks like a reinstall of Win 8 for me.

    Under: Settings > Display

    I simply had to re-enable 3D and 2D Acceleration and give my video memory at least 128MB.

    Hope that helps others.

    Mine is 64bit.

    Mine is also 64 bit but enabling 3D and 2D acceleration plus giving it 128mb memory didn't help me .
