    Hello,
A lot of things have been said about the bugs of version 5. I currently use Nod32 v4.2.71 on Windows XP sp3. I need to know if I can safely move to the latest version 5. Is there a benefit ?
    Thank you.

I understand issues some have had, but in all honesty i have it running since its release on 3 differently configured computers and have zero issues.

Yes... the HIPS is a bit annoying with all his "allow or deny" questions.

Not if you leave the HIPS in automatic.

FYI. I have been using ESS V5 on Win XP SP3 since the release without any problems at all :thumb:

If you are comfortable at that build level and have no issues running the app on a daily basis without bugs, I see no urgent need to upgrade.

This was going to be my question. Still happily running v4 and was wondering if v5 is worth the effort at this stage of the game. I stopped by 4 months ago and v5 was causing major issues. Is it still?

You have the board query feature to make the determination as to what ongoing issues there are with v5. There are some of note that cannot be avoided - recent posts would probably show these.

Again, if you have the last build of v4 and are not seeing any daily issues or bugs, I see no compelling reason to upgrade your software.

There are new features in v5, it is a trade-off of useablilty against features.

    Regards,

Hmm..could be very boring trying to keep you posted since v4 works so well and hasn't exhibited a single issue in months/years. I may never return with an update. :D
