No. Sorry but I do not install apps like SS&D unless I am actually interested in possibly using them. I am totally uninterested in ever again using SS&D.

In the meantime, the RC2 of ASD is still impressing me favorably. It seems quite stable & updates its sigs often.

Question: When ASD attains final version, I wonder if it will be adequate as a full-on replacement for my Antivirus? Any comments?

I gave ASD a nasty to spot. ASD spotted the nasty & popped an alert. However, the alert allowed only several seconds for me to respond. I didn't repond in time so ASD automatically ALLOWED the nasty.

    VERY not good!!!:thumbd:

I could find to no setting in ASD whereby I could correct this fault. I hope they fix this in final version -- otherwise, it is a major deal-killer.

Is it ASD's fault with a short response time, or did the malware cause the alert to disappear?

By definition, it's an ASD failure.. Id est, since ASD is a "malware fighter" then .....

    >>If ASD did it, it's ASD's fault.

    >>If the malware did it (dubious) it's ASD's fault for permitting the malware to execute.

Either way, ASD needs a fix in this area. IMO.

    Hi all
I have a issue with ASD so went to the ASD forums for help
last night , anyone knows whats going on , ?
the whole place is covered in spam and porn links and i was silly enough
to get infected , someone posted links to malware,

ASD did not detect it but hit man pro did so I spent all this morning
reformatting my pc and reinstalling everything,

I would go back and complain but i am afraid i might catch something again ,

I a very UN happy user at the moment

forgive my grimmer English is not my first language

I'm sorry that you had this problem. The same sort of thing happened on the Immunet forum shortly before Immunet was sold.

IMO, allowing a forum to be infested/infected is a sign of neglect or lack of interest on the part of the application's proponents. I do hope that ASD folks wake up & pay attention to current & potential users.

Its still infected , They told me the mod left Thursday or Friday
Some dispute about errors in ASD , and Banned members been let back into the forum by ASD Staff :'( :'(
the mod they had was very good and help me fix some issues with ASD and some pc problems
and the forum has been a mess since the mod left,:'( :'(

It all seems on professional , and there is no support right now ..

and I will not use ASD or go to their forum again, :'(

Nice to know it been cleaned up now ,
did not do me any good cost me lot of time and effort because of the infection i got there,
and What really got me annoyed is the infection was undetected by ASD ,
Also from what i understand the mod that is left is not so good,
as the other one was keeping the spammers at bay ,

Looked at the ASD forum this morning post by 1234avast the mod

Well ASD is not an antivirus (and also new) so I see no point in why you should expect it too..:gack: :doubt:

How did you get infected though? Did you click one of those spam links?

"Well ASD is not an antivirus (and also new) so I see no point in why you should expect it too."

I don't expect it to be an antivirus , I expected a reasonable amount of protection ,

Example the infection I got when a was silly enough to mess with the link on ASD forum

    Was missed by ASD
malwarebytes used as on demand scanner found it
    Hit man pro found it
    SAS found it
ASD did not even blink at it,

Also I have been in contact with their former mod who helped me with a infection I had a while back , and i still have her email address

So I emailed her and received a reply

She said "" that not all Malware she sent to ASD is been added to the program or the cloud ""

"" the development team is one guy who cant keep up to date with malware and that if a new malware is submitted today it can takes up to 3 weeks for it to be put into the cloud or definitions ""

also "" The Errors in RC 2 are not Fixed in ASD final Because of too much time been spent on Cloud system Booster ""

Ho buy the way She was the one who insisted the Staff posted apology for the errors in RC 1 and fix them

Also when she left the forum over the above issue's she removed her self from the Mod group so she was just a member ,

And posted an explanation as to why she was leaving the post was deleted by the staff and she was banned ,
And that what you get for pointing out issues with Anvisoft,

When I think of ASD now these things come to mind
Bad planning Bad detection Bad Support now ,
