Yeah it's a random puzzle. Sometimes even if I do not turn on my pc for 5 days or so eam still would download like 20 mb. And at other times when eam automatically updates database in the morning, it would download 80+mb in the evening!

Hello guys. Uninstalled NIS 2012 (license expired) and now trying Emsisoft.... I'm pleased with browsing (faster than NIS) and i'm surprised with how many URLs are blocked ("www.filecluster.com", for example). My question is about Online Armor... installed in the same pack. Is really needed Online Armor? With NIS i had a full solution, but with Emsisoft, i don't know if really is needed a firewall. I don't know if you uses Emsisoft with Online Armor or another free firewalls.

A firewall of some sort is needed, unless your using a router perhaps.

Well, i'm trying the combo OA Premium + Emsisoft Antimalware and i have a question:
    - Both programs have web shield... so is not redundant? is better to disable one of them?

    Thanks

I have OA Premium and EAM installed on 2 pc's and have all shields running on both with no issues. I installed them in December.

    Same here. :D
EAM Web Shield is more like an URL filter and OA Web Shield is a special whitelist that you configure for "Banking Mode".

That's why i will never use things like WOT (I feel their ratings are NOT accurate sometimes which can make you miss awesome things), i bought 4 licenses from that site and all of them work. ;)
Bought 3 licenses for EAM and 1 for OA Premium, all for only $15. ;) (I'm talking seriously, each EAM license was only $3)

Really? 3 1-year license bundles of OA Premium+EAM for only €12,50?
Where do you live if I may ask?
I'm getting a €25 price for 3 1-year licenses for both OA Premium+EAM using the discount code in combination with the Easter promo.
Still a sweet, sweet price, some €8 for a 1 year Emsisoft Internet Security Pack license but €4 would be amazing.

p.s. anyone know if these licenses can be used as one 3-year Emsi Pack license? A previous discount excluded this option...

I don't think so, usually it is a single key for multiple installs. (Mine works like that, i got a 3 PC 1 Year EAM license and it's a single key for 3 computers, also remember after a certain time if there is no activation it will expire and i don't remember how many months it was) :D

"The two free licenses you receive with your purchase need to be used within two months after date of purchase or they will expire.
If you would like to combine the three licenses in one single lincense for 3 users, please contact customer support after concluding your purchase. This is quite useful if you prefer to use all three licenses yourself and would like to profit from cheaper license renewals after one year."

^Thanks ctrlaltdelete. I had read the text but found it a tad cryptic.

"If you would like to combine the three licenses in one single lincense for 3 users, please contact customer support...This is quite useful if you prefer to use all three licenses yourself and would like to profit from cheaper license renewals after one year."

I guess I need to brush up my english because tbh, I just don't get the above.
They refer to the standard discounted prices for license renewals in the last sentence, that I understand.

    Baserk,

With this Easter offer you'll receive 3 single user licenses (3 different single user license keys). If you give away 1 or 2 licenses you are still in control of your own license. You don't have to worry that your license will be canceled or become inactive if another key is used on more machines at the same time.
Also, if you only use 1 license key and the other 2 Easter keys are never used, you're don't have to renew a 3 user license at the end of the year.

However, if you use all 3 single user licenses yourself, it's wise to contact support to change the 3 single user licenses to a 3 user license. It's cheaper to renew a 3 user license than renewing 3 separate single user licenses.

Errr....o_O Guess the word 'user' is confusing here. Even if you got 5 PC's and 6 laptops you are still 1 single user....:argh:

Switch to Dutch language on that page, and you'll understand.

I'm from Spain. I've combined the Easter promo and the discount code, but i've bought one license (with the Easter promo you obtain two extra licenses), and i've paid only 12,50€... Maybe you don't apply the discount...
In another hand, i've found Online Armor a bit intrusive (not works well with Utorrent and it's incompatible with Virtual Box...) and i got many popups... I've uninstalled OA and i'm trying Comodo Firewall...

Not invasive....for a good firewall popups are normal...How to utorrent, it is very easy to work with OA: just put utorrent in the firewall exclusions and everything goes smoothly. Same for virtualbox....:D
A few days ago I purchased Emsisoft internet security pack.,and I paid 50 eur.I have 3 licenses for EAM, 3 licenses for OA premium and CyberGhost classic vpn free for a year.

Just FYI guys, if anyone here has an EAM license and would like to purchase one from the promo you can merge the licenses and basically extend the old one. (It's like adding 365 days on top of the current one, so you're extending it) :D
But to do that you need to contact Emisoft in their support forum. :thumb:
