Looks like they removed more than they added.

    Hi
    Thanks for the notification hayc59.:)
Upgraded to the new version, and everything went smoothly. The only thing that i do not like in the new version of Snagit, and it is of course of lesser importance but nevertheless, is their new icon. I do not know what it should resemble? any ideas .

Anyone know of a bug with the latest version of Snagit 11 when used with Windows Vista and running ESET NOD 32 Antivirus (v4.0.4370)?

I upgraded from v8 to v11 of Snagit today and first time I tried to run Snagit v11 after downloading and installing it, it just locked up my PC completely. I had to power it off to reboot. Next time I tried got blue screen of death and a forced reboot. After Vista restarted this time it automatically ran the Microsoft check when a problem has caused an unexpected shutdown. The reported diagnosis was a problem with my antivirus software, which is ESET NOD 32 Antivirus (v4.0.4370). However, I've only been suffering these crashes since installing Snagit v11. PC will be running fine and I can open Snagit OK but as soon as I try to do anything with Snagit (even a check for updates) I get immediate BSOD.

Am scared to try it now! Any suggestions?

Just tried disabling NOD32. This time after I tried to do a capture in Snagit 11 I waited around 30 seconds before it did eventually open the capture window. Ridiculously slow, I thought, but at least my PC hadn't crashed. I then tried a capture, there was a slight delay and then blue screen of death again. So even with NOD32 disabled it still crashed!

The BSOD window mentioned a driver something like windrvNT.sys before it disappeared. On restart of PC the "Problem reports or solutions" window again popped up referring to problems with my Antivirus software though!

Meanwhile Snagit v8 still works perfectly.

I have a copy of relevant log files via the windows "Problem reports and solutions" window, so I'm going to add that to the ticket I opened yesterday with Techsmith (makers of Snagit) and we'll see what they can find.
