It's nice to see vendors offer many free options for Droids.

Very good for Ikarus. Not surprising though as they are one of the best.:thumb:

I see that very unlikely to happen. I've been using many and tested many but i always return to avast! in the end. Be it features, GUI, direct contact with devs and just their way how they work. No other company had such charisma and feel for their users like avast! team does. And they truly appreciate your work, even if it's a very small thing you do or you did. Where with others i never got such feeling unfortunately.

Good Evening ! RejZor...currently using Ikarus I'm a satisfied customer ...and Ziggy and the Crew at Ikarus are certainly Customer Focused. I also have a license for Avast I.S.Version 7 and was impressed...but I like the simplicity of Ikarus on my P.C. Sincerely...Securon

Does Ikarus Lite work as an on demand scanner only or does it scan applications etc as they are opened, also how does it compare regarding battery consumption? There is very little information on it anywhere!

Scans apps when they are downloaded; real-time file monitor that automatically scans Android apps being installed. Try the Eicar file in the market. Very light on battery consumption here on Samsung Galaxy II.

    we use both tchnique.
on access when an app becomes installed or updated and on demand for sceduled scans
the battery consumption is not conspicuous (if you do not make a lot of full system scans in a row)

Noticed last night that the last update to mobile security lite was in March which seems a long while to go without an update! Are there really no new threats for Android discovered since then?

Just seen the results of the latest testing and Ikarus are down at 63%, are the two things linked?

which kind of updates do you mean?
VDB (Virusdatabase) Updates come once up to twice a day (thats enough)
And the Latest Update from March was a new Scanengine (also the freeware becomes the same Scanner Update than our other products)

We also released a payment version with a lot of gimicks like gps tracking of the phone, remote wipe and manny more

Can you please be so kind and send me the testings because i dont know which tests you mean (there are a lot of).
Also i know much testing labs and most of them cant tell you how they come to their results, so it is important to get as much tests as appear on the planet ;-)

    Thank you!
