If only it was as simple as that. You have to take into account the following [emphasis mine]:

That's the only part of this that I have a real issue with.

Yes, you are correct that you guys are in the process of doing something very generous; it may take some time, so be it.

The problem I have is that people are renewing (or even buying) Prevx 3.0 thinking it is "now Webroot" and has "the latest protection technology", which is not true.

My cousin just renewed Prevx thinking you guys updated the process and he'd automatically be getting Webroot. I facepalmed. I told him to private message Joe for a refund or a new key but he's just like "It's okay I am happy with Prevx and I don't need the extra stuff Webroot will give me." :cautious:

Not all want the new Webroot, yesterday I purchased another licence for Prevx 3.0. My setup of Kaspersky 2012, Trusteer Rapport and Prevx works well, but when I ran NIS 2012, Trusteer Rapport and Webroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus I had problems :p

I didn't say they should just drop Prevx...

I meant they should implement a warning system letting you know this is not the latest software. They need to do something more than just say at the bottom, "Webroot".

As for still wanting Prevx, it's going away, so your best bet is to report any incompatibilities to Joe and/or the support inbox so they can actually fix them...

...Having the most up-to-date, latest security software is extremely important. People really should not play the "Windows XP game" with Prevx 3.0. In other words: license expires, let it go. Buy a WSA license manually; don't play the Phil Collins "Against All Odds game" either: "To wait for you, is all I can do." No, don't wait for them.

    Never thought you did.
"They need to do something more than just say at the bottom, "Webroot"."
Those who purchase Prevx are purchasing Prevx, those that purchase Webroot are purchasing Webroot, those who know the difference tend to hang around in forums like this, that would be folk like you and me :D

    Couldn't agree with you more.

    As stated:
I have also asked myself why Prevx is still being offered and why potential customers are not instructed to download WRSA.
Why do you not inform people on your website that Prevx3 is no longer supported, at-least not as it once was.
Inform potential customers that they are in effect downloading and buying Webroot.
Or do you fear loosing potential customers, therefore preferring to be misleading and dare I say deliberately deceiving?
    Very dubious at best!:ninja:

I suppose they are trying to be as accommodating as possible to people not yet ready (technically/mentally/whatever) to switch to WSA...

...Fine, but a warning about Prevx's state should be shown.
