    At present in addition to the previous message I can see a number of valid entries and again some error messages like this:

    @sg09:
    The problem is that our server connects too often in order to check for updates. The program receives its updated database from this server.

    We are busy updating the server, the program and have contacted abuse.ch asking them if our server can be whitelisted to allow us more queries.

    Do I understand correctly that Mirage AB protect against sites known to be infected according to abuse,ch? If so can I conclude MAB would not protect from sites rescently infected? MAB has to know/be updated, or does it have some sort of heuristic function or similar to handle 0day infected sites.
    Antivir has Zbot signatures, so how is MAB an extra layer? Anybody using it - have you experienced any slowdown? I want to set update intervals myself - will that be possible in the future?

    Best Regards

    @Rivalen: No slowdowns here (no CPU, max 3 Mb RAM usage). Some connection problems that I have reported. And a few more settings to be needed. I want it to remain as unobtrusive as now.

    @ Rivalen:
    At this point in time, Mirage Anti-Bot only protects against sites infected by Zeus. This list is the most recent list as published by abuse.ch. We aim to include more lists from abuse.ch.

    Later, we hope, Mirage Anti-Bot will be able to remove infections from Zeus, SpyEye and Palevo. The last step will be when Mirage Anti-Bot will protect you from drive-by downloads from these types of malware (like RuBotted).

    Yes, Mirage Anti-Bot should be used as an extra layer of security.

    OK Thanks. Antivir blocked my install of MAB so I will try again later. I think my ticked enhanced system protection in Antivir protects from changes of windows hostfiles. Could that be the reason why MAB didnt install?

    Best Regards

    @Rivalen:
    As Mirage Anti-Bot will add sites to the host file, that must be the reason it didn't install properly.

    Now also free Antivir flags my downloaded Mirage Anti-Bot.exe as a virus. Please inform when you have convinced Avira to fix this.

    @ Rivalen.

    Please update Mirage Anti-Bot to version 2.0. See here.

    BTW: AntiVir had already removed that false positive.
