    Hi Everyone !!!

Today i would like to share some little little (very little ;) ) info about upcoming Panda Cloud 2.0 :)

According to Panda Cloud ideas/suggestions Community Portal (http://cloudav.ideascale.com/) :

3 ideas are in Progress (link)-

    Community Firewall
    Faster Scanning
Remove file scanning when deleting files

and 2 ideas are in Review (link)-

    Submit files to Labs
On-access detection settings: ask before action option

As I mention this is very little information (Just to decrease our PCAV 2.0 fever :argh: o_O :p )
Will let you all know again when more info became available.

    Regards,
    Dark Lord

    Nice :)
Is it known whether the URL filter will be integrated in the main product in the 2.0 release?

For me this is the most important thing to add to PCAV.

It is the detail that keeps me away from PCAV... I'm probably not the only one.

To avoid ANOTHER CASES LIKE THIS to happen again, that's why i'm awfully eager to see that option implemented sooner in PCAV.

    I remember that situation.
Totally unacceptable on a mainstream AV.

The often requested option ask before action should allready be in V 1.5

yup totally agree, in fact i think its down right arrogant of Panda to assume that they wont detect any major false positives. down right arrogant

This is over a security setting option? Like, seriously? o_O

We all know what the idea of Panda Cloud was, to provide simplicity for novice users, etc. Automatic action is the default setting in quite a few AV programs, two examples are BitDefender and Norton. Also, like pbust mentioned before, false positives can be recovered from the recycle bin.

but why do you only tell half the story? it is not a default setting, it is the ONLY setting lol. panda is the only antivirus i know of which does not give the OPTION to change this behavior...

you obviously never read the post a few above yours...

No, that my friend is an assumption. ;) I may have suggested the recycle bin, but it does not mean I never read that old thread! :argh:

Ever heard of that new phrase "Never say never"? :D You have to provide facts because, like "hate", it is a strong word.

I don't know about Norton, but BitDefender has already implemented "ask me before action" for quite some time,if you didn't know.
And it seems to me that you really don't want to admit that Panda still has issues with the already mentioned problem.(maybe because you're a Panda junior mod?)

what on earth are you talking about? no offence but i dont quite understand your use of the english language in that particular post, intentional? who used the word hate?

the fact that you ignored the question about panda being the only one who forces removal says it all really. are you getting paid to promote panda cloud at all costs? its cringe worthy trying to see you defend something thats undefendable lol

    a) support mods don't get paid by Panda. They do this on their own time and love of the product. They get some benefits like tech previous and access to internal tools as well as taking part in decisions of future versions, etc., and they do an awesome job of helping regular users.

    b) we've already beaten this horse to death, why all the commotion?

    c) In the current setup, if an FP gets detected you can recover it from the Recycle Bin. Yes we've had some bugs in the past but those were fixed and we have not seen them again for a while.

    d) We already discussed here we will most likely be adding asking for action upon detection as an advanced config in a future version. If you haven't done so yet and you really want this feature, do something productive and vote for it at cloudav.ideascale.com.

    e) take a chill pill.

1.5 and 1.9 have been actual very good working betas this whole time, that anyone could use for free and it be secure enough to protect your computer.

I think Panda has done an exceptional job on this beta, been consumer aware of ensuring a usable product, and frankly, I can wait pateintly for 2.0 because I know it will be a fine tuned machine on release.

Kudos to Panda, kudos to Pbust and kudos to Cloud.:thumb:

Way better than no beta to play with, thats for sure! :argh: ;) Besides, they needed alot of feedback concerning the firewall, as well as discussion concerning new features. 2.0 will be the best ever!

No worries though. We will see an update soon. :)
