That's a great deal. Is it possible to buy one and add the time to my existing license?

I think it's in store boxed only as I can't see anything online!

Nope. Enclosed in each box is the specific registration code for THAT box only, however license starts from date of activation. You could buy a copy and hold it until your other license was about to expire, then install and activate for another year.

This is what I plan on doing but I have a question on how many to buy. If I were to buy 4 boxes (4 registration codes) and activated 1 registration code each year, would Webroot honor that for 4 years? Is a activation code that is not activated VOID after a certain time limit?

That's a great Question! Also so many things can change in 3 to 4 years to the product!

You should be able to activate it in the future without a problem :)

Yeah 4.95 for Webroot Internet Security Essentials. It says that it allows upgrade to WSA. Not a bad deal if it works. That's for 3 pc as well.

Question is whether it will be a valid keycode or whether they are doing something like reselling stolen/shared/trial keycodes that will have problems in the future. As an example, a friend of mine got a copy off eBay. It worked for about three months, then died. When she called support, she was informed that the keycode was one that was reported as "destroyed" by a legitimate vendor, but instead was stolen and being resold on eBay. Webroot couldn't help except to give a small discount on a legitimate copy of the program, but the hassle was a pain. The only person who got any benefit from that was the thief who was selling the stolen key on eBay. :(

If you get a shared key (given to lots of people), then you're pretty much OOL on any web management and it'll still also end up disabled as fraud most likely.

So here's to hoping it's legitimate.

If it sounds too good to be true...

If all else fails, just ask Support. :) I figure it's better to ask and not have surprises in the future.

I snagged one up myself last week and have been successfully running it with SAS Pro (realtime) and MBAM Pro (on demand).

Great - we've had quite a run of people trying to crack WSA licenses so if you're ever doubting that the license you've received is legitimate, please let us know!

Just picked up a Webroot Internet Security Essentials on downloadcrew. $4.95. How can you beat that. I know that you can install and it upgrades you to secureanywhere. How long will that last though? I just bought NIS 2012 and installed on a few laptops. My question is can I contact support and have the key changed over to a secureanywhere key? Can I still activate WISE in a year and get it upgraded to secureanywhere?
