This is all great stuff mentioned on this post, but what about the basic/average user that wants to take advantage of some of these things, what really is there for them?

Then what really begs the questions, what is the basic/average user going to do with this information to their benefit?

It's great to talk about tools but we also need to show people how to use them and to what advantage and how to make changes...

Let's remember, not everyone reading these posts on Wilders is a Techno Geek...

So let's get a break down here please on how to go about doing things...

A lot has changed with Fiddler since that post, you're better off watching the introductory videos on the fiddler Help page. Be sure to take a look at the Addons too.

 

The dangers of HTTPS by Paranoid2000, wouldn't NoScript help in these situations, I would think it would block everything until you allow it, so if you don't then nothing leaked to 3rd parties?

mitmproxy, what a pain in the rear and pathetic documentation...

I was hoping the post was about simple apps the average end-user could install and use, even as geek as I am, mitmproxy in Linux sucks...
