Will that bug be fixed before version 2.0? :doubt:

I don't see neither of the 2 Comodo installers tested as ever being detected by us so it must be something different. I wonder if IDM was doing something weird with or during the download. We'll try to test it to see if we can replicate it.

now, are you referring to your memory, or the coming of 2.0;)

thanks for the update Pbust. This is one that has made waiting worth it. Especially since we have gotten to use and enjoy 1.5 and 1.9.:thumb:

what is the "cloud" part of it? does it have to upload the files it's scanning to the server to scan it? or is that just where it stores the definition/signature files?

4.2 worked better for me, but V5 needs some improvements. It really doesnt matter because as far as impact on my PC, like opening applications and web browsing speed, Panda Cloud wins hands down. It really is a set and forget app that provides me all the security I could ever need. Its web filter is amazing. So Eset is good and will always be my second choice but I am waiting on the rewards of 2.0 and Panda will rule the roast with it.:thumb:

Cloud scanning is basically a reverse pattern matching. Cloud antivirus scans the file and creates a specific patter for it which is then sent to a server for confirmation. If match is found, cloud AV gets a response to block or delete the file. Entire files are never sent anywhere except maybe suspicious files but then again all AV's do that in such situations.

In addition to that I'd just remark the reputation services implemented in this cloud-based av's where suspicious files are given a "danger rank" considering their prevalence, age, among other parameters.

This morning I opened Panda interface and clicked on the "Last Detection". The event report came up and I was very surprised to see that "Your protection could not be synchronized with the cloud against the latest threats" was listed many many times over the last 4 months. There are no events recording successful synchronization over the last few days.

Panda indicates that "Your computer is correctly connected to the Internet at the moment."

I searched and found a hotfix for this problem on the Panda Cloud forum but the hotfix would not run to completion.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

EDIT: After a couple of days with no response I posted this on the Panda Cloud Support forum where I should have put it originally. Please ignore.

I noticed for some reason a significant decrease in my internet connection with this product installed...removed it, internet was fine. Reinstalled just to see, and same slowness came back on browsing, downloading, etc

Spec of your PC might help - O/S etc (any old security details)

It can help to do a full scan after installing
You may also wish to uninstall the Panda Toolbar, then url filter.

I don't think removing the url filter is a good thing to do.

I don't ever install or allow toolbars in my browser, I have a 2ndgen i7 with 8gigs of ram on 20MB connection, running through OPENDNS, I don't run any other real time security software for malware/virus (and it's never bit me before, I was just testing about new software), I sandbox all applications, and know what to avoid.

I have an IT background, I didn't just randomly install it, see one day things didn't work the same and make that claim.
