Good, because if you were not running Win 7 64 bit, it would have blown my whole theory :). It is the oddest thing, but for some reason 64 bit is blocking certain 32 bit processes. Hopefully we will have it fixed very soon.

Sorry about that, I thought since you said 0% the problem was fixed.. So VS is running at 0% in the Task Manager, and your computer seems to run slower when VS is running? Is everything running slower, or just certain things? Typically, if something is slowing your computer down, it means that it is using up one of the system resources. Since VS is not using up your CPU or memory, and it does not hardly ever access the HDD, it is really hard to say what might be happening. Are you using the current version, 0.96?

I downloaded JPEG to my desktop while VS was active. I then tried to double click it but VS blocked. Do you think this happened because I never trained VS to allow the Windows Photo Viewer?

second issue: I am not able to open Command Prompt when VS is active. Even after training it..

Thats exactly why. Left click the shield so it turns red and try to open it again. After it opens you can left click the shield again so it turns blue (armed) OR you can wait 30 seconds and it will rearm itself.

Yes, and thanks noons for responding. I would just like to add that this also means that VS is great at blocking email viruses as well. That is, if someone sends you a jpeg, your allowed photo viewer will open it. If someone sends you a virus, there is not an allowed program to open it, so it is blocked!

I lost the tray icon for VoodooShield, so I did a system restore to get it back.

Just now, I wanted to go into System Restore, and it is blocked. o_O

You should be able to right click and choose Train Me, and then it should work. If you have any problems, please let us know.

We are still trying to figure out the last couple of bugs, and should have the next release very soon!

    Hi,

I wondered if you will have these issues fixed as well in the next release.

That's what I did...but, previously it was trained, then after the restore it became untrained. ;)

Apparently it was a bug in FF. No problems since they posted 10.0.1 update.

This is something we are asked continuously. Once we have everything else working perfectly, we will add script blocking features, along with advanced protection for java and flash exploits.

Here is one example, and yes, VS will protect against this threat.

    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=269897

In this post, the user writes "The very serious problem with this is that a user doesnt need to confirm the execution of the executable and even advanced users are left vulnerable if they allow pdf files to be opened in the browser. "

Basically, when a new process is spawned through an exploit, VS will kill it.

The registration keys are now invalid. Any information on when the new full version keys will be e-mailed? Is the the beta-cycle finished now? :)

We were supposed to be finished with the next version by today, but we are not quite finished yet, so we extended everyone's expiration date to 3/1/12. Sorry for the inconvenience. You should be able to restart VS, and it should work. Thank you!

No, thank you! :) What you guys have created is a masterpiece! It also works flawlessly with Sandboxie! I will do a large test against malware, with your permission, and perhaps post it here?
