Left click the shield in the tray or the desktop shield. It will turn red and then relaunch the application that was blocked. Then you can rearm by clicking again or it will autorearm in 30 seconds.

I noticed after browsing a while (VS in Smart mode, using Firefox 10.0) I can no longer left-click in navigation toolbar and highlight text. If I left click VS tray icon to put VS in temporary train me mode the problem is corrected, but it returns after awhile. Using Windows 7 SP1 x86.

I'm not sure if this is related to your problem, but there appears to be a bug in Firefox 10 with flash plugin (maybe java also). If you don't have flash installed...then nevermind.

Yes I do have flash & java installed. What I did for now with VS is set the option to allow anything from Windows to run. Ill see if that is it.

EDIT: So far by opening numerous websites and copying to another tab navigation bar problem does not appear, I will run further tests later, but it may be related to VS. That is with VS set to automatically allow all from Windows System folders. The problem appeared before with default VS settings.

EDIT: Problem still appeared with VS set to automatically allow windows system folders. Will try next allowing program folders.

EDIT: Have had no further problem since automatically allowing all software from the Program Folders. Cannot tell though where the conflict is.

I got this alert in SMART mode, both the systray icon and desktop icon, blinking on and off. So, I switched to TRAIN mode. Now the blinking has stopped and the desktop icon has disappeared. Not sure if this is/was normal.

I worked it out, about the disappearing icon. Right Click > show/hide. :)

Hmmm, if VS blocks something, it should tell you. When you were having problems, did you get a balloon notification that it blocked something?

You and me both! :). We will, this stuff just takes time. We have only been developing VS for 9 months now, so we have made some serious progress.

Yeah, this is normal until VS is completely trained. The whole idea of VS is that if it alerts you that it blocked something, you can just ignore it, unless it is blocking something you want to run. Over time, say a couple of weeks, it will learn everything you want to run, and only block viruses :).

No not when it happened. I will try and narrow it down if I can.

This new version of Voodoo has fixed all of the issues I was having with previous builds. Here a list of what I was seeing...

    1) Double right click menu issue.
    2) SVCHOST being blocked constantly.
    3) Double clicking on systray icon when in smart mode would not visually change voodooshield icons to training mode.

voodooshield.exe is only using 20 Mb of memory right now and is running smooth as silk.

Thank you for the feedback jerick70!

    1) This should have been fixed in 0.96, we will have to look at it again.
    2) Can you reset your snapshot to see if this fixes the svchost problem?
    3) Does single left click work?

Please let us know, thanks again!

I think the person is indicating all of those are fixed in 0.96. They are here. Can't reproduce problem with left click not working all the time in Firefox navigation bar. All I can say is it doesn't happen if I allow all programs from program folder to run automatically in VS settings. If it does happen in default settings if I left click VS tray icon to put in temporary training mode it is fixed for a while. No popup from VS so not sure if it is a problem in FF 10 or something else.

Ok so I have found a couple of what appears to be minior issues. The first is no matter what I do it seems ntunecmd (part of the nvidia video driver package) stays blocked. If I put it in train mode, restart my computer the second I turn voodooshield to Always on it immediately alerts that ntunecmd was blocked. Another app that I cant seem to catch is something in rundll32 being blocked. From what I can tell both blocks are not causing any issues, but I would like to get them allowed some how. Other then those two issues I havent seen anything else. It would be nice to have some sort of logging though.

Hi VS I had to uninstall again as it's not remembering my Whitelisting and I get all kinds of pop-ups as before on Win 7 x64! Also when I save a log with WSA it blocks notepad always then I put it back into Train Me mode and do the same and it works fine then I go and put it back on for a test I try to save a log and notepad is blocked again!

    HTH,

For some reason, version 0.96 is having problems with Windows 7 64 bit, we will figure it out though. Thank you for letting us know, we will have it fixed asap!

We actually have it narrowed down, there are about 5-6 processes that are being blocked in Windows 7 64 bit, and they are all 32 bit processes. So I imagine it should stop all of these processes from being blocked. And it does not appear to happen on any other OS, so I think we are close!

noons, are you running Windows 7 64 bit?
