So the president of our company is getting the following error message popup on his Windows XP machine:

    ekrn.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x71a6b2fa" referenced memory at "0x00000008". The memory could not be "read".

Any one have any ideas why this would be popping up every now and then or how to fix it? We are running NOD32 Antivirus 4.2.71.2.

Please contact Customer care and provide them with a memory dump created after the crash for perusal. It may not necessarily be a problem with EAV.

Marcos, thanks for getting back to me. Would that be a complete memory dump or a kernel memory dump that I would need to send them?

A complete memory dump (compressed) would be best. Mini or kernel dumps may not always contain enough information to determine the cause of an issue.
