TH, thanks for catching that! There is a list of "Default Processes" that we allow on every computer, it is up to 83 now. There are mainly processes that we have found over the last 9 months that windows needs. We had the 32 bit version of wmiprvse included in the Default Process List, but not the 64 bit. You must be running Windows 64 bit! I just added the 64 bit version to the list, so you should be able to exit out of VS, and start it again. It should work fine, if not, please let me know. Thank you!

Also I have Office 2010 x64 and Outlook x64 is getting blocked so you might have add many more x64 processes to the list!

Sounds good TH! Can you please tell me where your Outlook.exe is located?

    is it

    c:\program files (x86)\microsoft office\office13\outlook.exe

    or

    c:\program files (x86)\microsoft office\office14\outlook.exe

I think we have another little bug we have to work out!

TH, ok, cool. I guess that makes sense, since it is 64 bit! Please try it now, we did not have the Office14 listed. You will probably have to exit VS and start it again. Thank you!

Those 2 processes are very similar, one was wmiapsrv, and one was wmiprvse. There are both in there now, so it should work! Thanks again!

Hi treehouse786, we are still having problems with some users outside the USA confirming the registration, but we are getting close to having a permanent fix. If you go to the Control Panel / Regional Settings, if you choose United States, it should confirm just fine. It is a problem with the Date Format, so it will be fixed very soon either way. Please let me know if it is not working by tomorrow. Thank you!

Try setting date format to M/D/Y that is what got it working for a few of us!

I think adding MS Office apps as trusted is not correctly...VS should block MS Office as well as other applications if its aren't on WL. Duqu...for example...was distributed by the document *. doc, and I think nobody want to let Duqu or something similar enter into own system.
Of course everyone can trust Excell, Word, Power Paint, Outlook ... but he should have a choice and do it when he will want so.

True, but since Outlook, Outlook Express, and Windows Mail are all email clients, we added them to the Default Process List. We did not add any of the other Office products such as Word and Excel. We added paint and windows photo viewer since a lot of users view pictures with these. We can modify the list at any time, and soon everyone will be able to modify their own list!

Great news! We believe the issue with registering VoodooShield outside the USA is resolved! Please try confirming your registration again. If it does not work, please let us know.

Hi Voodooshield, FYI, I am still seeing the svchost being blocked. I have reset the whitelist many times and it still comes back. I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit with Emsisoft Anitmalware and Online Armor.

You might need to run VoodooShield in Train Me mode a little longer. On some systems, it can take a little while (a couple of days) for all of the processes to be properly trained, depending on the software the user is running. Please let me know! Thank you.
