    Why isn't Emsisoft participating?
Strong showing by Kaspersky validates their AV-Comparatives Product of Year award.

Proof that market share is a big factor in these tests - MSE, one of the most popular AVs, gets the lowest score.

Does Panda Internet Security have access to the same cloud as Panda Cloud Antivirus Free? It is surprising to see the latter score better in December.

as far as Eset, I still have 2 years left and if these are accurate results, they suck, and need to get their act together or will be finding out what an unemployment line is all about. If, these tests are accurate.

Ouch, that must smart. That long and winding road to the unemployment Office.

This isn't an excuse but Eset always does poorly with AV-Test.
Compare this test with the latest VB100 six month RAP test where Eset is in the upper right hand quadrant along with Kaspersky and Avira.

I agree. It is very young and should improve with time, which is what I've
    said from the beginning.

You and Trajam are two hardcore ESET fans no matter how well or bad it performs. It's good to see people with that kind loyalty to their software.

I'm still using it but...once my subscription runs out [and it's about to happen really soon], I'm planning to stop running anything on my PC that implies annual subscription [$$$$] in order to get protection...

    Thanks

I'm saying going back many years, Eset has never done well with AV-Test.
Dr. Web, when it was being tested, also had a discrepancy between what it tested
    with Av-Comparatives and Av-Test.

I am not currently using Eset. They have a tremendous record with VB100 certification and yearly perform well with AV-Comparatives. However, when it comes to Av-Test, not so good. As I've previously stated, I am not a fan of the HIPS and don't know how they will improve/use that technology going forward.

I have licence for Avira, I just tried Avast free and I now have Bitdefender Free. I have2 1/2 years left on the Avira licence I have been looking at Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 and Bitdefender Total security 2012.

Since you use it, that's exactly why I asked.

We have some exciting improvements in the pipeline coming out over the next month which willl improve our scores further :)

For what it's worth, I really like how AVTest displays the chart of all of the scores. I think it works quite well at displaying a lot of varying data.
