Well for me the table makes no sense.
There are packages listed with higher scores than those 'at the top' yet are further down the list??
How can a package that attains 91% Malware, 100% Rootkits & 100% Scarware be further down the list than the top listed package that attained only 85% Malware and 100% in other 2 categories?

We talking aesthetics here, i.e. some have nicer looking UI's?
    Not convinced.

I agree. And WSA has higher detection and blocking than Kaspersky?

I like PC mag reviews But I dont give much heed to its detection score.

overall , I find Norton to be a clear winner for me :)

I'm not surprised with their conclusions, but I do not agree with them.

Those people have enough experiences of their own to have come to such conclusions. Again, voicing one's opinion doesn't make one "funny" or whatever you may want to call it. We are on this forum to voice our opinions. Everyone thinks differently. Nothing personal.

I would say it's both but it isn't a terrible product and can be had for free to cheap if you know where to look.

Maybe tougher in India, but here in the USA I have gotten Norton free after rebate the last 7-8 times I have bought a copy.

Do those experiences you mention include your own?

Am i correct to say your experience is only of one instance (infection)? In which case i fail to see how you can call it overrated when you know that no antivirus is perfect and they all fail at one point for someone.

Yes, of course! Plenty of them. Don't have time to share them here with you (as it won't change both of our opinions).

And no, you are incorrect of that one instance thing! :argh:

Norton and F-Secure, I mean both are great and both, like all security products have issues.

Who cares. If either works for you, use it.

Why do we do this each day folks?

It's not about "F-Secure vs Norton" or "Emsisoft vs something else." It's about stating one's opinion. If one doesn't agree or like it, simply ignore it and move on!

    Nothing personal.

Just looking at the tables were all the tests the same for all AV or did they change from one AV to another, the score and the percentile are all messed-up, like it was written by rainmans dumber brother.

yeah, Norton is most expensive in my country , next to McAfee

whereas Kaspersky ,bitdefender are so cheap . Also, price is imp factor for consumers as most of them dont have any idea abt detection and various test results.
