A user installed the ND32 Client manually on a large number of workstations and they are not checking in to the ESET Remote Administration Console. Pushing the install from the console fails with error 1603 (because Nod32 is already installed). Is there a way to push the install successfully or fix this other than uninstalling the client form each workstation? I have checked the knowledgebase but found nothing useful.

If I understand you correctly you are trying to get the currently installed copies of ESET to check in with ERA server? I am assuming the reason they aren't now is that the Remote Administration server information was not entered in at the time of install?

If this is correct then you can do a push install of a newer version of the program (v4.2.76 was just released) with the remote administration server settings in place and then it should install. If you try to do a push install of the same or older version it will not do a reinstall as you have found out.

The other option is to go to each workstation and rather than uninstalling and reinstalling, open up ESET, press F5 to bring up the advanced settings, go to Remote Administration and enter your server information. (see picture for example)
