Nothing even come closes to Revo Uninstaller for finding the junk left over from uninstalls - it almost always finds a considerably more left over garbage than any other uninstaller.

However, only the paid version of Revo has 64 bit support. So as a free option only for 64 bit Windows installs, IObit uninstaller is a resonable choice.

Just remember to always check the found leftovers carefully before deleting them as all such uninstallers do pick up files and registry entires from software other than what's being uninstalled from time to time.

Comodo Programs Manager monitors all installations in real-time.In theory,it should remove all traces and be more efficient than the likes of Revo;which just search for leftover traces retrospectively.Of course programs installed before CPM won't be covered in this way so it's best employed on a fresh install. My own experience has been positive with CPM and it is effective at removal.

Do you notice if the CPM service adds any "overhead"? I'm not particularly concerned about ram usage, more CPU usage. Have you experienced any compatibility issues with other resident software, especially security software? Also, have you used Revo and/or other uninstallers that don't monitor installs and have an opinion about how much difference CPM makes in comparison?

evidence eliminator i had for years. [Great product shame about the name]

Story i bought a brand new lap top. straight out the box i installed EE i had my key code ready to put in. installed the software

EE said this product is registered How on earth did it know me? Or is this software free now.

I also run CCcleaner to i often wondered do they do the same job. EE finds a lot more files it seems to the uninitiated anyway

I also run CC leaner beta on my Imac But it will not wipe the hard drive it changes the permissions what ever that means ok but freezes when when you ask it to wipe the hard drive space

Also prefer Total Uninstall (switched from Revo paid, after testing, because it does a better job and removes more than Revo).

I switched from TU to Ashampoo Uninstaller and I like it better. And it's also less expensive...
