Here's what I'm seeing, but not every time, yet it does appear to recur:

After running a scan, Click System Tools on main GUI, click System Control tab,
click Start (Control Active Processes), scroll down, click Close button = WSA crashes, and then 2 icons appear in tray, with one disappearing on mouseover, as in screenshot.
As I said, doesn't happen all the time, but it sure seems to happen sometimes.
I'll keep investigating. Windows 7 32bit, WSAE, Vipre AV on this machine.

I know the beta is up to version 8.0.1.44. You may want to contact support just the same though. I am sure that Joe will be along in the near future with a response.

Webroot SecureAnywhere Essentials .44 here. Been running it for a few weeks now. I am not part of any beta - just a paid Webroot customer.

As for that issue, I have not experienced it but I have seen two icons appear with WSA and Prevx when you right-click scan something in a sandboxed explorer window via Sandboxie. :)

Personally I have not experienced this issue at all maybe try a clean reinstall! Also I have VIPRE AV & WSA on a Win 7 32bit VM and never seen it there also! :doubt:

Thanks TH :thumb: Yeah, I'm not saying this is readily reproducible, because it's not, but when I saw it happening for third time in about a week, thought I'd better tell you guys about it, as there might be some issue there.

Thanks...and a Happy, healthy and safe New Year to one and all here :)

Interesting - I suspect that's because Sandboxie is preventing WSA from seeing the rest of the installation. That could certainly cause multiple tray icons to show. Let me know if you see anything else which triggers it as well :)

.44 has only minor changes over .42 (just related to supporting a slightly different trial version) so I don't believe all users will have received it.

Indeed, my issue I described is likely not an issue with Prevx or Webroot that needs to be addressed since I have had it happen with Microsoft SE as well. It is something that is expected with Sandboxie usage.
