Tried to run a manual scan, but it just wouldn't finish.

After about 10 minutes I tried to cancel, and it still hangs.

In the end I had terminate the process.

Does it happen again if you restart you computer? This looks like an error occur when updating the local lib. This might happen when the Internet access of KPCD is blocked.

I tried twice again to run the scan, but no dice.

I have done a selective uninstall...hopefully, a fresh install will go, OK.

The following file to be excluded from future detection...I know what it is. ;)

[Dec 19th]Kingsoft PC Doctor Updated to 3.2.0

-"3. Newly added right click scan, now you can do custom scan from context menu."

I have just been reading your forum about how some people reported that the right click context menu scan did not appear after installing 3.2.0.40.

It did not appear for me either, initially, but after uninstalling and reinstalling, it is there, now. :)

Woke up to the scan still going on, and on....:argh:

I must remind myself not to select 'custom scan' in future. ;) :ouch:

Are there many compressed files on your scanned path? Fast scan not scans compressed files, but custom scan does.

I do not have my C: drive set to "Compress drive to save disk space" with XP, but I have several snapshots as per FD-ISR.

Not to worry, because I will stick to a fast scan in future.

That is automatically passed/launched, but was recorded by KPD. Do you think this shouldn't be recorded? Or the name the tab make you confused? Suggestions are welcomed.

The first version of multi-language frame might be done very soon, within 1 week or 2.

We've completed some minor updates of local engine, but the major update is not that sure, may be on Feb.

I'm sorry that this would be only a multi-language support frame and tool, if you want to use you preferred language, you have to wait for our volunteers to finish the translations on that language.

Thanks, i didn't have any problems and i see that the result was "..automatically lunched" but it looks to me like the "doctor" felt that this file was suspicious and it scanned/checked it.. "just in case.."
As for suggestions.. it either should not be recorded or not scanned at all, i don't think that (any)AV treating its own files as suspicious is something that an average user likes to see.

Just uninstalled it. Kept saying it had found infections, but would not tell me what or where they were. Probably my fault for being thick but it was on a relative's machine, and half an hour is enough of my time. So I took it off.

Seems like a good program though, I'll check it out in another few months.

Sure, no problem. That's good to know. It was probably my fault for not having the time to set up the machine properly or go through things in detail.

It just wasn't immediately obvious, that's all.

    Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, this is a minor update for users. Because our main download link is on CNET, cause we have to wait until it update. on 3.3 we successfully complete the multi-language framework. We're welcome volunteers to translate our dictionary into other languages. Currently you only can edit the words on a xml file we provided, and then we'll release a tool for translation.

Detailed changelog will be available soon.
