I'm using an old Celeron 2,53 Ghz machine with 1 GB RAM and XP Pro for testing. EAM and OA Premium installed, no sloppiness at all.

    No other security apps installed.

If you do have other security installed, exclude the other security in EAM and vice versa.

I had no problem running EAM with XP Pro but have big problems after switching to Windows 7 Ultimate. I'd like to resolve the problems since I really like Emsisoft.

    Thankful,

Did you post in Emsisoft's forum about that issue? I'm pretty sure the issue will be fixed with some debug logs or a remote session.

I have some lag on my laptop with EAM & OA, but I'm doing a reinstall of Windows 7 soon so I will probably fix my problem in the process. :D

  9. Just come across this software. Didn't realise it was a reltime AV aswell!

Was wondering what people to think to it as a Main AV Program?

Thinking of purchasing it while its cheap if its decent enough?

It features the Ikarus engine along with its own built-in engine A2. Two very good engines when it comes to detection!

  11. I know we can't do A Vs B here etc.

If i were to go for this, what would people suggest for a firewal, Comodo?

Im guessing people think its worth the £5.43 then?

Maybe this fixes the memory problems I'm having. I'll give it a go in the next couple of days.

I've always liked Emsisoft going back to the A-squared days. I'm using
Windows firewall. Use any firewall you feel comfortable with.

Give it a try, if you don't like it, it's your opinion but it's worth a try :D

  16. Not sure when teh cheap deal ends, is it tommorrow?

Got it running now with Comodo. more familiar with Comodo's interface having used it before.

So far seems so good. Not too heavy on the memory, ws at around 2mb earlier :0

I wasn't going to buy EAM or OA, but now that the special is almost over, I'm getting itchy feet :doubt:

  18. Agreed. For £5.43, for 12 months protection is insanely good vlue.

Have to remember that the program will hopefully continue to get better and better as the year goes on, new updtes etc etc.

    Im tempted to buy it

  19. Guessing there's no way of adding sites to like an excluded list. Keeps blocking a few sites i go on.

Will have to disable surf protection i think. :/

Set Surf Protection to Block and notify. If a host is blocked and you disagree, click the green button in the popup. That will create an allow rule for that host. After a while you can set Surf Protection to block silently
Or, check Host rules and select the built in list. Find the host that is blocked and edit that host rule.
