They need to fix their system, especially the non-existent bot detection, or else this will justifiably be far from the last lawsuit.

WOT has it's detractors me being one of them. Mass Website scorecard ratings sites and tools like URL Void are far from perfect. :ouch:

WOT or the Klingons? LOL (Sorry, I'll get my coat)

Seriously though, no system is perfect & I have had some queries about sites that they have flagged 'red', but at the end of the day, it's better something than nothing.

Yes, but with all of its failings, I'd rather have the WOT plug-in than not have it. You can always ignore what it tells you.

Or you could not bother installing WOT in the first place, as I have chosen to.
There are better ways to protect your privacy & security than the mass-ratings based on opinions of people you don't know.

I'm not sure why the hate for WOT. As you said you can ignore it if you want to. No system is perfect but you can read the comments in the scorecard and a lot of times determine if it is legit or just users with an axe to grind.

There is no implied hate for WOT, and yes, no software is perfect, but better than mass so-called user ranking of sites. I use WOT rankings for other reasons.

Most of the time there is a statement such as:
These sorts of ratings are skeptical and poor on a good day. This is not to discourage anyone for using the tool, these are my impressions I have encountered over time.
