IE Customizing Search Provider Service

    hi guys

    there was a Microsfot web based Service , which let to create and add new

    search provider using almost any page with search option.

    > Add Search Providers to Internet Explorer

    now this service is unaviliable..

    i searched about this topic on microsofts sites and IE help subjects
    and didnt find any mention

    they only talk about a sites which provides a dedicated search engine ,

    like Youtube , Wikipedia.......

    maybe microsoft launched a knew project or switched a site

    suggest a new alternative

    plz help

    Each link provides different instructions as far as I can see.

    So it does Ron.

    For some reason when I was clicking each link it was opening a new page which was exactly the same.

    Probably because I tend to middle click links on web pages by default :oops:

    i thought i mentioned that i already read all these microsofts "how to" about IE

    and they didnt mentioned the topic i am asking help about....

    your link explain only how to add search providers from microsofts addons site

    and from major sites like youtube , google . yahoo. etc.....

    i am talking about making a search from any website with search line

    example wilderssecurity.com

    its starnge you guys dont know about this webtool from microsoft

    so anyway, got any idea?

    TeflonShield, see What happened to microsoft com windows ie searchguide en-en default mspx - a page to add custom search engines to internet explorer?

    Unless I'm mistaken, the only available alternative is the Mycroft Project. You can create any plugin using their Submission Utility. Hope the info helps.
