Nice topic here. I prefer Stealthed. Or closed/stealthed. Tried HackerWhacker?

I did not see that in KIS. Can't even use the right-click in Network tab (Terminate connection --in Comodo). I think you have to set it in application rules or packet rules.

Are you talking about this rule set in Comdo D+(block a specific application from being used by another).

As the port is closed, it can be scanned for specific responses (to specific packets) which help determine the OS, however, any closed port can be used.

(As I mentioned earlier, a closed port is not a packet being blocked from entering the system, a closed port is actually the system replying to the packet sent.)

    Hi guys,

Sorry for the late reply here. Party left and right just started and I am having a grand time :) I came to report that my friend is now happy with the results and the settings. I placed it back to "auto-decide' --'Select Actions automatically' because she can't take the pop-ups(I guess it reminds her of Comodo ver4) and if there is a program or action that get's blocked she will check the 'Unrecognized' and place a rule for whatever it is 'blocked'.

She was asking if she could set a group for browsers..? Well, I don't know how to set it there but in CIS I can do that. I see a "group selected by user" in the bottom right-hand corner of the Applications Activity window...what is that?

Anyway thanks for the wonderful help here. The stealth problem has been cleared (checked it again yesterday and it's TruStealthed for both PCFlank and GRC). I'll wait for replies on the port blocking if I may. It's also quite imporatant to know that I can set a rule and KIS will block it right and not late as Stem found out. For the rest of other questions I will post a new topic for her behalf.

For all of who have posted and gave their ideas and opinions my very thanks to you for helping me/my friends out. Your all aces in my book :)

The office guys are appreciative of your efforts and help especially the ones who got Kaspersky. A sort of debate and whose best etc happened/is happening here..(I heard that also whe we were drinking ina party hosted by the next department..wow..).

You guys have a great day and have a ball this Christmas :)
