Admuncher premium has gone from the offer, what happened o_O

MY MISTAKE: It is included with EAM not Online Armor :D

The $8 promo licenses are always standalone. Their license period can't be added to any other license, sorry.

if a person has OA Premium and Emsi running together does anything need disabled between the two to keep them compatible or to keep overlap from occurring?

Nothing needs to be disabled. However, i excluded EAM in OA and OA processes in EAM. They don't need to check each other constantly.

That's what I already understood but I meant it the other way around.
I already have a OA Premium license, can that license be added to the OA Premium promo license?
Or is the promo always standalone as in, existing customers can't add their current licenses to promo licenses?
Just asking, still liking the promo. :)

I think he already did mention that if you buy the license it cannot be added onto existing license, although since you have 10 months you can keep it if yours expires soon and activate it before the expiration date :thumb:

After a couple of days running EAM and OA together, I've removed EAM because it seems like more than I need with Sandboxie. With the way I use the computer, my vulnerability is downloaded files. Is there a way to set EAM up so it only scans downloaded files automatically and does nothing else, except maybe on-demand scans? If not, is there a way to use EAM to only do on-demand scans of downloaded files?

The problem with EAM is that it isn't compatible with AdMuncher and Chrome. You have to exclude Chrome from protection in EAM in order for AdMuncher to filter ads/tracking cookies at all... that's simply not acceptable. I've reported this during beta of EAM 6... but it hasn't been fixed yet and I dare to say it's been ignored.

That's why I recently bought OA++ which works PERFECTLY... only to find a few hours later that it will soon become abandonware... and I don't want to be converted to Emsisoft Internet Suite... I already have that, remember? That's why I bought OA++ in the first place.

I've re-installed EAM with File Guard, Behavior Blocker and Surf Protection turned off. Anything else need to be turned off to make EAM just on-demand?

Is there a way to set up EAM to automatically scan only what's added to the downloads folder?

Yep thats it. :thumb: Or you could have just installed it in freeware mode would have accomplished the same goal.

This might be why I was having some glitches surfing with EAM running. I have Chrome sandboxed and Ad Muncher installed and didn't have anything excluded. So far Online Armor Premium is running smoothly on my system.

the ad-muncher is also valid to activate in 10 months?

That applies to EAM & OA. Admuncher would probably be different.

What happens to OA at the end of the license period? Just no more updates, reverts to the free version, what?

  24. Noob

    Noob Registered Member

Probably reverts to Free not sure though :)

@eplose: No, the Ad Muncher licenses expire in April 2013, no matter when used first.

@acr1965: OA will switch to freeware mode when the license ends.
