I had to leave Privatefirewall behind.
It was leaving port 135 open with default settings.
Although I am behind a router, which closes the open port, I sometimes disable the cable modem and router to check on how the firewall will do with my dial-up backup connection.
If it can't close all ports out of the box, I don't have the skill nor the time to configure it (though I did try some suggested settings involving modifying the svchost location service rules to deny traffic).
    No dice.
Back to OA on both machines.

Sandboxie and DefenseWall running smoothly here on my laptop.

Firefox forced in sandboxie and excluded from DW; Other threat gates are guarded by Defensewall.

Light and efficient. Great combo, no overlap at all...:D

Appguard had just been removed because the trial has ended. Wish I had extra $ to purchase this one, this AE is just awesome.

    Ditched Norman security

Good protection but it made the computer slower than an old toaster

FWIW- it's on sale for $8 on the emsisoft.com site and looks like they throw in a 1 year license to AdMuncher Premium.
