Whisper Systems, headed by Moxie Marlinspike, offers full phone encryption (WhisperCore, as well as Red Phone, Text Secure, and Flashback) for the Nexus One and Nexus S. They have been purchased by Twitter, and are apparently keeping Moxie on board. I use it and love it, but I'm not getting a warm and fuzzy about this. What do you think?

I have already switched over to CM9 Alpha 11 by Koush. Ice Cream Sandwhich now has FDE built in. Even though you max out at 17 characters and it is not as secure or as nice to use (you have to use your password on the lock screen and at boot. Imagine a 17 charactor password every time you lock your phone - not fun.

I will probably switch back. But as long as WC is in limbo I am off of it. I don't want this to take a year or so and be stuck at 2.3.5 until than.
