Yes I did. The first one is for Panda Cloud Antivirus and the second one is for Panda Antivirus Pro 2012 which you just brought up now.

In your original question you didn't mention Panda Antivirus Pro 2012, you just mentioned Panda Cloud Antivirus Free vs Pro. Also this is after all the thread for Panda Cloud Antivirus 1.5.
I do agree its a little confusing, but not much.

Been some time since I involved myself with AV. And it was always NoD32 2.7. I was faithful, never strayed. So I'm uneducated in today's AV climate.

Does Panda cloud and Panda conventional provide the same level of AV protection? (add on features excluded)

The signature based detections are the same.
The behavioural engines are different as PAVPro2012 has more sensors (firewall, etc.).
URL Filtering is different implementation but same signatures.

Since this doesn't work and there is no way to keep WSA and let Panda URL filter work I uninstalled WSA. Their support just told me the WSA was superior to Panda URL filter and to uninstall it, but I trust better Panda.;)
Even with PrevX 3 SafeOnline, it's same problem.
Unless you disable the SafeOnline feature, then it works at least for PrevX 3. Since I bought it, I'll keep PrevX without this module and Panda URL Filter ON.

On the other hand I just again deleted Panda url filtering. This time it kept telling when I clicked on FF bookmarks - Wilders security.com, Panda said it'd never heard of the joint & kept blocking it.

Are you saying that Panda URL Filter blocked wilders? Many people, including myself, have it running while participating here. Can you post a screenshot and the URL that is being blocked?

no can do just yet. I have to re-install the whole panda to re-activate url filtering. Its not like the toolbar - add on.

I don't miss it as I don't go anywhere that's sus. except wilders :D . But Pandacloud is a beautiful lite AV... & a simple excellent GI. I was very fortunate to find it.

I just installed Panda Cloud AV Pro on one of my PC's tonight. All is well so far. The only thing I can't stand is this Panda Domain Advisor that is interfering in my searches. How do I get rid of this? Clicking on the bottom of the page where it says click here to disable does nothing.

    Update:
Was able to get this when I clicked on the message to disable with IE, Firefox and Chrome did not give me the message below.

"To disable the Domain Advisor, uninstall Anti-phishing Domain Advisor (Powered by Panda Security) in your Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs.
Warning: This will also remove your Anti-phishing protection against phishing and malware sites."

    That's not good.

Uninstall the Panda URL Filtering from Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs.

The URL Filter and the Domain Advisor are the same component. If you recently installed the toolbar you might have an older version. Try to keep it for a while until it upgrades silently. The newer versions fix some of the Domain Advisor problems. Btw the Domain Advisor page should only show up if the webserver returns a 404 error (page does not exist) or the domain does not resolve.

I just installed PCAV yesterday and installed whatever toolbar came with bundle with the installer. If this is needed for the URL filtering then I'll leave as is. I'll get used. Besides PCAV is installed with only one of of my older PC's.

I might try installing the beta later today as I'm curious to see how the firewall will work. I use to use ZA a long time a go but the pop up kept driving my wife and kids crazy. Now the only firewalls I run belong to windows and my router.

    Thanks for the reply.

I just installed the beta. So far I love it. Firewall working on it's own has not ask me anything yet.

    pbust- a couple questions -
Does this toolbar run with the Chrome browser? Also, could you highlight or is there a page you could point me to that has info about what type of security the toolbar and url filter provide? Is it like WOT and SiteAdvisor or more like BitDefender TrafficLight? Are there any major incompatibility problems with other programs (e.g. other antivirus or firewalls, etc). Finally, is there a page the toolbar is on I could point friends to instead of the direct download link to the .exe? Sorry for all the questions.

    thanks

The toolbar is available in only IE and FF, but the URL Filtering itself is compatible with all five major browsers. It works by blocking known phishing and malware sites, like Smartscreen Filter. Afaik, it is compatible with quite a few programs (I've tested it with Avira, TrafficLighting, WOT, and more).

Sadly, there is no page to download it separately.

Is it ok to run the Panda url filter if a different av is installed that has http scanning? Or does the http scanning need to be disabled?

I just had to uninstall Trusteer Rapport and disable the SafeOnline feature of PrevX3 to make it to work. So you have to watch interactions with other security program. Me with Avast Pro it doesn't seem to interfere with the web protection module of Avast (happily)!:D
Another incompatibility (I don't like this) is Sandboxie 3.62. The URL filter doesn't work in sandboxed browser!
In Sandbox Settings, Security and Privacy, just add Panda Cloud Antivirus to the list. The URL filter now WORKS in Sandboxie 3.62 (...happily!!!)!

They perform differently so hopefully there shouldn't be any issues. I recall TF having a similar feature.

A relative of mine uses PCAV with a Pro license from a giveaway, now the license has expired and PCAV has stopped all protection, is there a way to revert to free license so I don't have to go over there to re-install?
