Most tests show registry defragging has little use, and does not impact performance. The same can be said for reg cleaning and even disk defragging.

There's no real need to do that. It's just marketing trick.

OMG, yes, there is a button on the right, it's clickable, but the button icon is missed. Thanks so much for reporting this, it will be fixed asap.

A nice feature to add will be a broken shortcut scanner to detect broken shortcuts

Em, actually we're developing an Uninstaller, it's able to remove the broken programs and normal programs.

do you know Toolwiz Care? I tried it and I was surprised how many features/options are similar to KPCD...

OMG it seems to me a combination of KPD and Iobit ASC.... There is also a free time freeze software (Wondershare?)
All the software seems to have valid digital signature of XII CNC Inc.

KPCD it's very nice and useful tool...I have decided that it remains on my lap as the next layer protection in team with PC Tools FW, Mamutu and WTF. Boot time analyser/optimiser is nice and realy works...boot time of my system has been reduced from 1 min 12 sec to 40-50 sec...and nothing was disabled!
I have one question to scanning files "on the fly" during downloading...notification after download has button "Confirm"...does my decision is sended only to my (in my system) instance of KPCD as a "trusted file" or to community in cloud?

Will the 3.0 version auto update to 3.1 any time soon? I rather not go and install manually on all installations.

That's according to the case, but currently most of the "Confirm" is just sent only to your system.

No, KPD doesn't support auto update. Normal updates can be checked from the update button, and we'll make it obvious in 3.2. Major updates will be recommended by a pop-up tips. We found a bug on updating versions earlier than 3.0 to 3.1, and then it'll be fixed on 3.2.

    Thanks Kingsoft :)
I noticed that during installation of PC Tools FW KPCD detected and alerted me about some actions - run exe file, installation of services, modification of system, etc...has KPCD some HIPS/monitor or is it question of heuristic?

Can it be made fully customizable during install. I mean many people would like to use only malware protection so it would be good if you can do customize install. This way one can use one module or few more modules or all the modules, the way one wants.

    Thanx

I hope you don't mind me asking again but have the latest releases helped cut back on the 30 second boot slow down with Panda Cloud installed?
