a question about wsa deals.if i currently have a license for wsa complete and buy another will that add the time together or does it void current license time remaining and give you only the new 1 yr license?

 

You can save your other license and activate it later - it won't append licenses upon activation (it places the new license in place and removes the previous one).

 

I suspect you should be able to purchase online on US/UK retailers - we aren't shipping any physical product so I wouldn't think there would be an issue. However, that could be wrong, and we aren't currently in any non-English-speaking retailers as the product doesn't yet support localization into other languages.

The rebate form on Newegg seems to indicate a physical box is needed for the rebate. If it's a physical box, I'll not bother since I'm in Canada.

Well a Customer has been lost as my Prevx license expired on Saturday...and in my eyes Webroot/Prevx did nothing to provide a once loyal customer with a Winning Solution. The 99 cent mobile is a deal for people who want the premier edition of that product. But 50% off is not close to being a decent Cyber Monday deal.

 

If money is tight just go on eBay and buy Webroot Internet security 2011 for abt 11.00 us and the license will be converted to the comparable Webroot SecureAnywhere product. Get a 3 computer license for $11.00us

 

When does the countdown on subscription start? At the time of purchase or activation.

 

Be REALLY careful on eBay. A lot of those are fake or stolen retail boxes that end up getting disabled before you even get them, and Webroot is right to do so, so won't help with it.

I guess, all in all though, it comes down to a simple factor: Is what PrevX and Webroot made together worth the money to you?

If it's worth the money, Buy it.

If it's not, don't buy it.

If dozens of highly-paid threat researchers, technical support agents in the US, hundreds of total employees working for a full year to protect you, the buildings and infrastructure to support what may be or already is the best security program out there is not worth under $2 a month to you (on sale, about $3.33 a month at regular price, or, heaven forbid, $5 a month for WSAE at normal price), then find something you find to have more value for its cost.

The law of free markets defines what a company charges and people pay. This works on a bigger scale than one or 1,000 or even 100,000 people saying it's too expensive. If 100,000 say "Too much!" but 10,000,000 buy it anyway, it's officially "not too much".

 

Activation.

The tertiary stuff is the cost of stocking up though. No continuity in the account if you have WSAE or WSAC.

 

I couldn't have said it better I got 3 subscriptions, one from newegg=to zero $$ after rebate and 2 from webroot site. Either way you look at it they were both worth it. Nice job Webroot, thanks for the special deals.

I'm almost certain that the answer to my question I'm going to ask right now will be "sorry no," but is there anything that can be done from a customer service perspective to drop my recently purchased Prevx 3.0 license and instead get a Webroot license? In other words, not convert, just cancel and credit for Webroot purchase.

Again, I'm sure the answer is no, but better asked and answered.

 

you can still buy 2011 from LEGIT places also like majorgeeks and i have seen them on amazon etc...
