Just after playing every kind of full screen games ESET keep freezing until I reboot the system(see screenshot). I had this issue from more than week ago and I checked it with four different games and result was same, after playing full screen games about 30 -35 minutes ESET keep freezing and at the same time process "ekrn.exe" of task manager displaying more than 70,000K (you can see screenshot) normally the process "ekrn.exe" between 55,000 - 60,000 in my computer.

I'm playing games without enabling gamer mode and I think eset got something wrong when detecting fullscreen apps but this problem never occurred when I'm watching movies,So I can't understand what is happening. Is anyone got some ideas ??

I'm using ESET Smart secuirty 5 version 5.0.94.0 with latest signature database updates.
Windows XP (32 bit) service pack 3.

Could you try installing v. 4.2.71 to see if it makes a difference? At any rate, I'd suggest you make a dump of egui.exe and supply it to customer care for perusal.

    Hello all,
I had this problem sometime ago and i send feedback to eset with no answer because is difficult to reproduce…
I found some issues with some hardware configurations and driver configurations. Both EAV and ESS have the same behaviour at diferent levels.
The problem is: computer seems to be freezed, but all system is slowed down, windows XP can’t connect to the network but ESET products can update virus pattern or other components.

Try disabling each of the components, one at a time, to narrow it down to the one involved in the issue:
    - real-time protection
    - HIPS
    - web access protection
