Nobody knows, but there may be another beta update before 2.0 is released.

I'm trying 1.9.1, it doesn't seem to like FF v8 much. I'm guessing it's the firewall, but whenever I try to download files with FF v8 you can't use FF at all until the file is finished. It never goes not responding or anything. Disabling the firewall in panda cloud doesn't seem to fix the issue. But, if I uninstall panda cloud all is back to normal.....

Firefox and plugin container are both in the firewall list as allow all outgoing.

Yeah, I don't know. Have been using Panda Cloud 1.5.x on all my pcs without problems. I grabbed the 1.9.1 beta and all my pcs have the same issue. All are running 64bit Win 7. When I download anything that is big enough in size that it isn't grabbed instantly (so 100mb+), the browser gets extremely slow. It never goes not responding, but it is definitely not useable.

If I uninstall the beta, everything is fine.

I've just reported the following behaviour relating to Shadow Defender in the Panda Cloud Antivirus Support Forums. I thought I'd also post the details here for wider exposure to see if anybody else has experienced this: -

"The first time Shadow Mode is entered after installing PCAV 1.9.1 beta, the PCAV firewall prompts for every outbound connection, even though it has already previously automatically created several rules for known applications before entering Shadow Mode.

Apart from the firewall issue, PCAV appears to work normally while in Shadow Mode but on exit from Shadow Mode, PCAV starts with an error on the reboot. The tray icon reports that the antivirus has been stopped and can't be started again manually. No matter how many times the system is restarted, PCAV never works again until it is uninstalled and reinstalled.

This behaviour happens irrespective of whether or not Panda Security folders are excluded from Shadow Mode - I've tried it both ways."

Can you please post this issue on our beta forum so our QA can try to reproduce it?

Ideally post it along with our beta firewall diagnostics tool (NetDiag) output file:

Will PRO users be able to opt-out the firewall? I'd like to keep it as minimalist as it is now.

During setup? Or afterwards? I just wouldn't want to have it installed if I probably won't use it.

    Afterwards, through the firewall tab.

Hey Cloud, glad I caught you online, this Thread is long and I do not know if this has been asked before, but are the
Firewall Components Resident on the Clients Computer or is the Firewall Completely Cloud Based?

Afaik its (present) features are cloud-based, like the process reputation for example.

I believe it's both. The firewall engine itself and the firewall rules are resident on the client's computer but the reputation scoring, as Cloud said, is cloud-based.

I kinda agree. :) When he said "firewall components", at the first I thought he was referring to the firewall engine, drivers, etc.

I have been reading through this thread and would like to know if PCAV 2.0 free includes the firewall or is that with the PRO version only.

    Thanks

If there ever is such thing as Scam Thread then this has to be the biggest of it.

No 2.0 Beta yet, and there will never be, since 1.9.1 is consider as beta.

AND There is already a thread on 1.9.1.

Back to the AV, i dont see any reason / improvement that 2.0 should or could be significantly faster then 1.5.

2.0, or 1.9 is really only a beta test of Firewall.

The Firewall, as far as i am concern, still doesn't beat Norton IS in terms of set and forget.

Its UI is still a Toy.

It is a good AV, but it is in a situation where if i use free protection i use Avast, and if i paid for more i get Norton.
