I have Skype on my computer. But I have only fired it up and logged in with Sandboxie. I have never logged in to skype outside of Sandboxie. I also have Eraser configured with Sandboxie. So when I delete the sandbox, my computer does not know my Skype account. So if I fire up my VPN before logging in, and then delete the sandbox when I am through, then would this prevent the kind of tracking that they are talking about?

As far as just knowing someone's IP address, I can see that in the header of a Yahoo email sent to me. So what's the difference?

What would you recommend as a standalone product for Windows?

Researchers uncover privacy flaws that can reveal users' identities, locations and digital files.

Everything connected to the internet is a potential security risk, just like almost everything IRL is a potentially cause of cancer :D

There are levels though, with Flash and Java at the top.

I agree with J_L. Some vectors are worse than others.

Skype has never been "secure". It's always been interceptable.
