    Nothing detailed so far, this article mentioning some changes is all I found: http://www.marketwatch.com/story/f-...-for-your-computer-and-online-life-2011-10-11

    I did find something more detailed on their new Deepguard:
    • DeepGuard 4: DeepGuard 4 is a completely new version of the DeepGuard protection technology. It includes technology that enables F-Secure to effectively detect malware by complex logic that combines analysis of the malicious file, behavior of the file on the local computer and information about the file from the cloud. It also makes all of the DeepGuard protection components updateable through channel updates.

    @djohn
    You need to download a trial on their site, and you will get a link to an installer which has a trial license embedded.

    F-Secure in the past has had uninstalling issues with their software. Would love to know if they have resolved this issue. If they have i'll try it.
    F-Secure has been a first rate solution for a long time now.

    Should work fine. Their installer used to give you the option to install av only or the suite.

    Is there a download link for the .exe without submitting an email for the trial? The launch pad installer isn't working for me.

    Can't ever get my head round their reviews when they try to install products on 'heavily' infested systems! It's been stated before that surely you'd make sure the system is clean before installing.

    I dont get that either :rolleyes: And from personal experience, Ive been a loyal user of both Norton and F-Secure for many years and I only recall 1 fp made by Sonar.
    On the other hand PCMag had orgasms when reviewing SecureAnywhere, which flagged 28!!!! files as malware og my computer (they were all fp's from legit Adobe programs and so on), and they didnt mention that tendency at all! :eek:

    Many users buy the security software to fix their systems. How are they supposed to clean it before installing? That's what they bought the software for!

    What you say is quite correct.

    However while advanced users will ensure(as much as possible),that a new AV is installed on a clean system;average users won't take such precautions.Therefore,I suppose PCMag is sticking to a "real-World" scenario.Many users will switch to another AV after their system is infected and are unaware of the likes of MBAM.
