They have a program like that, with additional protection features. They just don't have it in English. I think it is only in China.

Francis93 I dont like me 2 the system optimizers but kingsoft optimizer is not agressive.

1)For example the repair is only to install microsoft updates.-totally safe
2)The optimizer makes only 5-6 changes , for example it disables aytomatic windows font cache startup. The changes for me are totally safe and u can cancel them when u want.
3)the junk cleaner is safe and the registry cleaner (witch i never like) its like ccleaner non aggresive at all.(i use the default settings).

The only fuction i dont like is the os thinner but i dont use it.

I use it in 3 pcs in my home without any side effects.(xp & 7)
P.s. The system diagnosis results under trojan fuction, was always safe for me so i dont know.
Also in the main tab(home) if u dont like a diagnosis found by kingsoft u can move it in the exception list and forget about it.

But again this is my personal opinion only.

How exactly the web protection works?Tested with some malware, but nothing was blocked before complete download.

    1)Originally by KingsoftSecurity:
Web filter checks malicious script and code, which used to hijack, plug-in or download Trojan from static or dynamic webpage. They may be flash, or fake missing component or others. Web filter will block them before execution. Not URL based currently.

2)when u download a file(from internet explorer, mozilla, chrome, opera) it scanned by kingsoft download protection(it will be scanned after u download it and before u execute it).

Again i must say that kingsoft is companion antimalware not a standalone antivirus.

I have been using KSPCD for long time now and also have been using its optimization features and they are very safe and it really speeds up the pc without any risk. I will not run a pc without it and its proactive detection is excellent.

I only wish that kingsoft brings back their free antivirus again, because both the pc doctor and antivirus would be a superb anti-malware program and maybe add a free firewall and that would complete it. I wish I get the chance to test a new kingsoft antivirus if they come out with it.

Does anyone know if the free antivirus will be back or perhaps add the antivirus or anti-malware engine to pc doctor so it protects and scan beyond just trojan scanning.

I've asked them, and while it is a possibility, it does not sound like it is coming any time soon.

Wait, they should leave the cloud protection module too and remove the bandwidth monitor. :thumb:

Yeah I don't like the OS thinner feature. It looks dangerous and you must use it at your own risk only.

Sorry guys, KPCD will not become an anti-malware centric, because we already have a full version free security suite - Kingsoft Internet Security 2012.

I think many users here, myself included, use KPCD for the cloud scanning, not the optimization features. The IS product you mentioned is not available in the US. If it were, I would probably use that over KPCD, as it would be a better fit for my needs.

This program has it's share of bugs to work out, but it is off to a nice start. I still hope Kingsoft releases their IS or AV in the USA at some point.

The new version will come this week. I dont think they are interested in multi-language support at this point.

    Hello folks,

Well, if they are not interested in a multi-language version at this point they could at least let you choose English as the installation language. My system is running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 pt-BR and KPD installs in my system translated to Portuguese, but the translation is full of mistakes and is hard to understand. So, I really would like to use it in English.

I think it's common sense that we must understand what we are doing when the subject is security. If I can't understand what KPD is telling me I can't make a good decision.

    Best regards,

    Aeolis
