I gave it a try, and I wasn't that impressed by it. It flagged malc0de.com as not being a trusted service. malc0de.com is a trusted service. (I'm not talking about quality. That would be another topic.)

I also ran it against a few valid and online phishing domains reported in Phishtank.

In what comes to this kind of tool, WOT would be the best bet. And, WOT does get results from Phishtank. So, it would defintely be the best choice for protection against phishing domains.

Anyway, that's based on the fact that WOT does get data from reliable sources, such as Phishtank. WebRep gets them from avast! users. I'm sure they do their best, and that's lovable, but it will never be comparable to a service like Phishtank.

I'd rather see it as a stand-alone extension, similar to BitDefender TrafficLight.

I haven't felt the need to change anything for quite some time.
I don't know if I'm complacent, satisfied, lazy or all three.
Yeah, that's probably it... all three. :D

I have been using AppGuard for a while now, along with Windows Firewall, EMET 2.1, UAC, and occasional scans with Hitman Pro. I also take backups with Macrium Reflect Free.

I use Chrome as my browser.

This setup works well for me and is indeed very light! :)

I haven't found anything better than Emsisoft AM 6.

Avira on my desktop has to many false positives and impact on the system and Nod32 , somehow, is not as it was before few years.

Everybody's tallking that EAM has a problem with FPs but in my case it has fewer FPs than NOD32 and Avira.

I won a license for Kaspersky Internet Security from Softpedia. But I also have MBAM Pro which I run on all my computers. I hear Kaspersky makes a user uninstall MBAM. Is this true, and if so, is there a work-around?

if those things do the job they're supposed to do then one of those app should be enough.

i think it's the general consensus here that running two real-time AV is usually not a good idea.

jmonge gets his daily workout by playing musical pc's, running from one to another changing the security setup on each of them every time, making pit stops in between to change the newborn's diaper :D :p
