It would not be free? Well... Why would we go for it?
Besides, it cannot be used side by side with another antivirus, it is not really a "cloud" antivirus, but rather an antivirus that uses definitions in the cloud.

Nowadays, people use the word "cloud" as a mantra to solve all the problems and summarize all the wishes someone could have :doubt:

Do you know if Panda thinks on releasing a "real" cloud version that could be run side by side with other antivirus?

I dont think the defination of a real cloud av is if it can be run alongside other av

I dont what u can call it .. may be anti malware or i dont know..but why do u want panda to run alongside other av when it itself is a full fledged av

    Looking for a second opinion?
    Increasing detection rate?
    Increasing protection?

I don't think so, but there are few users that choose run Panda Cloud alongside another full-fledged AV.

What I did was add extra browsing security instead of a second opinion AV.

A cloud-based AV has nothing to do with running alongside other AVs or not. A cloud-based AV has to do with signatures and heuristics determinations coming from the cloud instead of from a locally-installed database.

Some cloud-based AVs are basic (only hash sigs from the cloud), some are more advanced (hash sigs + generic sigs) and some are much more advanced (hash sigs + generic sigs + heuristic determinations from the cloud). Except Panda and Prevx most if not all AVs have very basic cloud implementations, checking only full file hashes.

I'm only talking about AV features. There are other cloud-features as well (whitelisting, prevalence, etc.)

With a requirement of betweem 700mb and 1gb on disk this certainly isn't a "Panda-like" cloud AV.

The irony is that, for a cloud AV, it requires a lot hdd space. How much would it require if it wasn't a cloud AV? :argh:

I am deeply disappointed with their code name for the program. Is that the best they could do? lol I hear the beta of MSE 3 is call "Project Smith".

I found an Italian version here - I don't know if it's legit. Maybe you can change it to English with the right language file ;)
