    Right. It would have been wiser to just hire an investigator, and provide some leads.

    I highly doubt that if they are still married. I don't think she will have any grounds for a law suit. I'm no attorney though, and I don't know what the laws are in their area.

    The media attention I've seen surround this is a little silly. There seems to be a focus on the fact it's an iPhone 4S using particular app, when it could have been done just as easily with a 4 or 3GS using the Apple-provided Find My iPhone service which doesn't require installing anything. You just configure it on the target phone, via its settings, and view it via the web with no tell-tale apps present.

    In any case, this will hopefully open people's eyes a little more and remind them of the potential for their phone's GPS to be used against them.
