Will there even be a freeware version? What'll happen to the current Prevx freeware?

The best way to report the problems you've found is to contact the Support Team via the Feedback button on the main GUI. That way, they'll be able to assist you and narrow down what is causing the issues.

This will happen as soon as we've finished the process to do so :)

I don't have the exact numbers but we have a few different classes of beta testers from our beta phases and I believe each will be handled differently moving forward (although I'm not entirely sure exactly what will be happening with any of them yet).

I'd hate to appear to know nothing but at this point, I'm not sure either way :)

We are in the process of developing a freeware version like Prevx 3.0 for a "Fast Scan" feature.

Since licenses are being discussed in this thread I trust it's not off topic to ask a question about the license for "SecureAnywhere Complete 2012 (3-User)-Windows" - since android support is included I wonder if a phone is treated as a PC meaning does it use one of the 3 "seats"? I have three PCs and an android phone so I'm hoping this package will cover them all.

You actually receive protection for 3 PCs and 3 phones with a Complete license (so, effectively 6 devices).

Okay, thanks. Will it include removal?

I don't believe so, but the 30 day trial of SecureAnywhere does include removal for free.

Thanks TonyW! I will do that. I would also like to make a post on the forum as well to see if anyone else is experiencing the same bug that I am. I have played around with this bug for some time now, and I have already narrowed my specific problem down. I'm just not sure how I can collect needed info for them to see exactly why it is doing what it is. I can't use Firefox browser at all without disabling analyze search engine results, and identify malicious websites before visitation. This option is located under the web threat shield, and is ticked by default. When ever i try to query a search from google home page I get a blank page with no result. I disabled all addons for FF, and also shut down all other resident security software on my machines. Still I have the same problem. I will start a separate thread on this until I get this resolved. Other than that WSA is running great.

I noticed that Webroot is now offering a 1PC license on all three WSA versions for $10.00 off.

Were did you find that? It still shows minumum licenses for 3 PC's for Essentials and Complete here:

    Hello Joe :),

Do you think i should get back to PrevX SafeOnLine 3 with my valid licence in order to be upgraded to the WSA instead of keeping the beta 80060 currently running in my system? Wouldn't it be easier for your team to recognize my subscription till January 2012?
    Thanks.

    Cheers,
    Herve

This is so strange. I checked Webroots site last night at work and would swear they had a drop
down tab listing 1PC and 10 dollars off for each product... o_O

I'd like to put a (maybe) silly question. What version of WSA is exactly the same as Prevx SafeOnline was? I see three different editions but can't really decide which one is Prevx SO.

Also, I read somewhere here at Wilders that WSA is 100% Prevx code although sold by Webroot. Is that true? Is it really the good old Prevx with a third-party firewall?

    Couldd someone clarify?

    Thanks mates! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Yes, that would certainly be appreciated :) You will then be automatically updated to WSA with the same license you had with SafeOnline when we release the update process.

There isn't a 1-1 relationship between SafeOnline and any of the WSA products exactly, although the "Essentials" product is the closest.

WSA is a new version of good old Prevx (in that it was completely rewritten as Prevx 4.0 before and when under Webroot :)) and it has a Prevx-grown firewall rather than a third party firewall.

PrevxHelp has answered your questions, but I'd like to add to this one that the firewall in WSA is not a 3rd party firewall. It is a firewall extender, which means it can be used with any other firewall, including the Windows one. Some users will just use that and the firewall in WSA, but it has been made to co-exist with other 3rd party firewalls.

I wonder if you're using AdMuncher by any chance? If so, it is possible that may be interfering with the process. Either way, it would be good to try and narrow this down.

There is already a thread, which I started, regarding the search engine analysis so that may be a good place to post your findings.

FWIW I'm using Firefox 7.0.1 and the latest beta, but am able to see search results with green ticks as discussed in that thread.

A couple of questions I'm still not 100% clear on please:

    1. Confirm which version of WSA is required to have the identity protection feature (i.e. equivalent of safeonline). It seems from the compare products chart that only the Complete version has it (with line "Provides advanced protection for online shopping and banking").

    2. Any more details on the Lastpass features of WSA? Is it just a bundling or is their any added value or product integration (that would make me want to get the Complete version and migrate from my standalone Lastpass).

    Thanks

    1) The website is incorrect - it is in Essentials.
    2) It is primarily just bundling of the LastPass toolbar as-is. It looks slightly different (branded Webroot) and we do apply self protection over it so it might be marginally more secure against direct attacks, but you are probably fine with your standalone version as-is.

So clock is ticking sorta. Any news about transition process?

I am pretty bored looking at BETA and that FEATURE IS NOT READY text. Eh? o_O

EDIT: Keys are ready and unused but they are invalid!

You can uninstall and reinstall the release version and receive the 30 day trial when signing up. The Webroot software transition will be completed hopefully this week, conversion from Prevx to Webroot will take longer.

I hope Webroot transition will be ready soon. You guys are ignoring paying customers, really. Too much excuses and tomorrow promises. You should deliver. No offense. :ouch:
