What's new in BullGuard Internet Security 12.0.198:

    • Behavioural Detection makes our Antivirus engine catch 65% more viruses than traditional antivirus engines
    • Safe Browsing flags unsafe websites on every search results page you access
    • The Vulnerability Scanner warns you about outdated software that may be putting you at risk
    • Online Backup allows you to protect your most precious data
    • Parental Control makes keeping your kids safe on the internet a piece of cake.

Well,i've watched 2 or 3 youtube reviews for the beta version, and i must say i'm impressed.I think i have to test it for myself,as it seems as the webguard catches 99% of the malware.

    Probably they mean signature-based only

Is this still Bitdefender av and Outpost firewall combo? Also, is the Bitdefender B-have the behavior monitor?

I believe the first two are still yes and the behavior block I read (on their forum) was from http://www.novashield.com/

Maybe someone that has it installed can confirm http://systemexplorer.net/db/nsserv.dll.html

I was bored so I installed it before bed. I think I saw a Bitdefender plug in in the Bullguard directory. As you can see the Outpost and Novashield drivers in AutoRuns. I also read that the Bullguard Inspector is from Secunia.

I don't know if BullGuard continued to develop Novashield, but on the Novashield website it says it's 32-bit only and the installer is from June 2010.

My first impressions on Bullguard AV (for this i have license) are very good. It's much lighter than 10 version,GUI is redesign, more slicker and more easier to use.The C Drive scan took 47 minutes,a little too long for my taste, but it's ok.The browsing doesn't seems slowed down at all,and the laptop start-up it's normal.
But i don't understand why it has that update service that runs all the time in the memory.I don't have problems with that, but eats a lot of RAM just for an AV.All in all,it seems to me that they did a pretty good job with Bullguard.:thumb:

Not really, but AV's with no runtime analyzers, or emulation techniques.

And like previous versions, webguard dependent on browser plugin?
