I've been using it for maybe 5 months now? First month it would flag a lot of my security tools, and interfere with WinPE compiling. Lately it's been fine, only Charon (MD5 checker) and ByteHero BDV 1.6 were flagged last month. I'm due to update all my tools, so I'll let you know if there are any FPs this round.

It's not really a Panda specific issue though - certain kinds of programs tend to be more readily flagged as suspicious than others. I'd say that the average user can run it and not be hassled greatly.

I'd still like the option to choose what happens when a file is merely 'suspicious' though, rather than Panda automatically deleting it, but the suggestion was pointedly ignored by the Panda rep :p I know people have asked for it in the past, but Panda want to keep the program as simple as possible - but that doesn't reflect everyone's needs. It's a lot of extra steps to have to go into Panda and manually restore each file, and a big pain if you have to restart a long process because Panda removed a vital file from a WinPE build.

Thank you for that full explanation. It sounds like a good AV, but I'm not going to run Panda if it doesn't give a choice before deleting something.

Finished my testing of WSA. I'll definitely be buying at some point in the future. For now, back to the equally good Norton AntiVirus 2012.

Started using a Standard User Account.

edit: I doubt that Mamutu is as useful when running under a SUA with UAC set to max, so I removed it. Thinking about what to replace it with.
