Thanks for the link but I'm not sure how much stock I would put into those results. I prefer independant lab results which overall seem to differ quite a bit for the magazine's tests. Always cool to see as much info as possible though.

    Ad-Aware?

This gives the expression "with a pinch of salt" a new meaning.

I didn't read the article but looked at the charts (I like looking at charts) and thought "Hey, AdAware is back" :)

Also wondered if Avira and F-Secure aren't popular enough to be included.

Lol, I love when that happens. "They didn't include such and such product so the test/article/opinion/whatever is wrong/flawed/fails/sucks/whatever".

On topic, PCMag, while their reviews are okay enough, has a tendency to recycle past articles. Many of these products already have a preliminary review there, and they all get tossed into a "Best of" piece. It doesn't make the article wrong, you just have to realize the way they normally work there at that website.

They showed Webroot SA as excellent which seems to be true from what I've read so far. AVG 2012, I'm not sure since AV-C and AVTest.org hasn't had them in any tests yet.

Avira wasn't included because it didn't have a 2012 or even a 2011 version out at the time of the article.

He's just waiting for Eset and Avira to work out the kinks in their new releases.

Ahh, I see. He must be a sight to see, trembling and cowering in a dark corner during these "stable periods" :D

@TrJam: Hopefully you see the friendly jesting in these remarks :)

Isn't the Webroot SA really just using the Sophos AV engine?

they didn't care to include McAfee, that's perhaps the only positive in this whole "Best Antivirus" parody....

This type of review isn't worth much. Sadly, many people will take this seriously.

I can't believe that Webroot product is as good as it's claimed to be.

Since when is MBAM an AV ?
