    not running any realtime antivirus but when i did, avast v6 was the lightest for me by a country mile from the 6 programs that i tested.

    Where are the results of those? Do you mean doing it yourself?

    but anyway some products are not as light as they claim when compared under limited resources.
    Here the difference between products forced to be light and enginereed for performance quality.
